Two polls find President Donald J. Trump’s approval rating has rebounded from July.
The new Zogby Analytics poll shows Trump with a 45 percent approval rating, driven by big gains among Hispanics, union households and voters in the West.
President Trump’s approval numbers are stronger with men at 49% approval/48% disapproval, than among women voters-40% approval/53% disapproval. The president’s approval rating did improve a little among women in the Zogby Analytics August poll.
Trump’s approval numbers remain strong among likely Republican voters — 76% approval/22% disapproval. According to Zogby, that is almost identical from their July poll. Among Independents, Trump’s numbers improved nearly seven points to 40% approval/50% disapproval.
Trump saw one the biggest improvements among Hispanics — his approval increased 11% to 42% approval versus 55% disapproval.
Trump’s numbers also increased significantly among union voters from 43% approval to 51% approval in August.
The new Zogby Analytics poll was conducted from August 4 to August 7, 2017 and margin of error of +/- 2.7 percentage points.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for August 11, 2017 also found that 45% of voters approve of the President Trump’s job performance. A week ago, only 39% approved of the job Trump is doing.
