Thanks to Katherine Krueger, the breaking news editor at TPM in New York City, we learn that the Cruz presidential campaign does not have any Senate endorsements to announce:

In a correction posted Monday night, editor Eliana Johnson said reporter Elaina Plott’s earlier story that Cruz was going to announce endorsements from his Senate colleagues was not correct.

That’s right. Last night Eliana Johnson posted this “Correction” at the National Review’s “The Corner”:

An earlier post stated that Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign was set to unveil a series of endorsements from Cruz’s fellow senators. The report was erroneous. As of this writing, the campaign has no pending Senate endorsements to announce.

The funny thing about all this is that this morning RedState’s own Neil Stevens reported that Sam Slom, the only Republican in Hawaii’s 25-member Senate, has endorsed Ted Cruz for President. But to paraphrase Obi-Wan, that wasn’t really one of the Senators we were looking for.
