Discussing President Trump’s first 100 days and whether the Democratic Party can work with him, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi admitted to ABC’s “This Week” host Jonathan Karl what we’ve all known for some time: it doesn’t matter which Republican is president, obstruction is the name of the game.
“I see everything as an opportunity. And I’ve never have seen so much willingness to help win. And winning means winning for the American people, that either we win or whoever wins understands the priorities of the American people,” Pelosi said. “And they are not with President Bush.”
She caught her mistake right away.
“Oh, excuse me,” Pelosi said, looking surprised and putting a hand over her heart. “I’m so sorry, President Bush! I never thought I’d pray for the day that you were president again.”
Bless your heart, Nancy. More than eight years later, she has finally realized how blessed she was with a man like George W. Bush in the White House.
I wasn’t naive enough to believe that if her prayers were answered, she would actually work with Bush this time around, instead of roadblocking on the Iraq War and Social Security reform, to name a few areas. Just glad to hear her confirm it herself.
This isn’t the first time she has confused President Trump with President Bush. The last time was less than three months ago, when she said she had “seen nothing that I can work with President Bush on.” The playbook is getting old, Dems.
