On Friday, President Joe Biden attended the dignified transfer ceremony at Dover Air Force Base, where the remains of three American service members were repatriated in flag-draped coffins. First Lady Jill Biden and cabinet members including Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin accompanied Biden.
The American soldiers, who lost their lives in a drone strike in Jordan, near the Syrian border, were identified by the Pentagon on Monday as three Army Reservist members assigned to Fort Moore in Georgia: Sgt. William Jerome Rivers, 46, of Carrollton, Ga.; Spc. Kennedy Ladon Sanders, 24, of Waycross, Ga.; and Spc. Breonna Alexsondria Moffett, 23, of Savannah, Ga.
At least 25 other service members were injured in the strike. Iranian-backed militias are ascribed responsibility for the attack; while the administration is tight-lipped on what its response will be, US officials have said it will be a "tiered" approach.
The ceremony attendees looked on, with their hands over their hearts, as the flag-adorned coffins were removed from a C-5 plane and transferred to a van by military personnel.

Biden spoke by phone to the families of the fallen soldiers on Tuesday and met in person with them on Friday. This was Biden's second attendance at a dignified transfer ceremony for U.S. troops, and his words and behaviors have drawn public criticism each time.
When announcing the fallen soldiers to the public he ended the press conference with laughter.
As RedState previously reported:
Then he said he wished that he didn't have to go; he chuckled, and people laughed. Notice that ABC didn't translate or talk about that part, although they translated everything else. They probably knew that wasn't a good look for Biden to make an announcement like that and then laugh.
If you're trying to convey you care, it's definitely not okay. Especially when he was just spreading a falsehood about his political opponent's supposed words about the military. He just has no sense at all at this point.

On Monday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stammered and stumbled over her words as she attempted to express condolences regarding the service members, concluding that they had died for this administration, instead of this nation, saying:
What I will say, obviously our deepest condolences go out, and our heartfelt condolences go out to the families who lost, three, three brave, uh, three brave, uh, three brave of, uh, three folks who are military folks, who are brave, who are always fighting, who are fighting on behalf of this administration, of the American people, obviously moreso, more importantly.

When speaking to the Gold Star Family of Specialist Sanders on Tuesday, Biden once again made the false claim that his son Beau died in Iraq. Biden has misrepresented Beau's cancer death many times, and seems to especially do so when speaking to military members or their grieving families, but has also included the falsehoods in public speeches
While Friday's ceremony didn't appear to include any of the faux pas the public has endured all week leading up to the service members' dignified transfer, the American people have not forgotten the images of Biden checking his watch during the August 2021 ceremony for 11 of the 13 U.S. soldiers lost in the Kabul withdrawal disaster.
