If you've been watching the uprisings in Iran, you've likely seen the brave women boldly standing up and removing hijabs and dressing like free women in public. They've appeared in the streets to stand for their freedom amid thousands, lighting cigarettes with pictures of Iran's "supreme leader" Ayatollah Ali Khamenei that were lit on fire.
These are incredible sights to see because when we think of women's rights here in the West, we think of a bunch of overweight or self-uglified "feminists" chanting in the street or silently walking in a line while wearing handmaid costumes. These women have every right a man does, are in no danger of being unjustly targeted and severely punished for stepping out of line, and are effectively cosplaying as brave warriors of social justice.
These are generally what we call "AWFLs," or Affluent White Female Leftists. They're usually well-to-do, comfortably middle to upper class, and have an overinflated ego that keeps them in a perpetual state of moral superiority amid their victimhood. As I've written previously, they are the world's greatest predators. They will destroy and corrupt anything and everything in the name of their skewed moral outlook.

I want to rip back a veil that's over the AWFL that keeps the general public, and especially the AWFL herself, from seeing what's actually at the core of their character. What you're seeing is the results of an out-of-control, unchecked ego. They're soaked in the belief that they can do no wrong, that every opinion they have is the correct one, and no action they perform — no matter how vile — should result in consequences, even if the reaction to their action is a perfectly natural one.
This ego problem that the AWFL has comes with a myriad of problems, and most of them are problems for society at large. These women aren't just obsessive about their socio-political stances; they're driven even further by spite for those who disagree with them or stand as their ideological opposites. Combine that with their egos, and you have a very destructive mix that can result in atrocities and tragedies both in the voting booth and too often on the street level. Often, those tragedies don't happen to them; they happen to innocents who were caught up in the results of the AWFL's voting habits, but once in a blue moon, an AWFL will suffer the consequences of her own actions.

As I write this, the AWFL is fighting on several social fronts, and none is more popular than the cause de jour, stopping ICE agents from doing their job to protect criminals from being deported. It's the AWFL's firm belief that anyone more melanated than her automatically has more moral currency, and it feels very noble and virtuous to stand in the way of anyone bringing a more melanated person to justice, even if said melanated individual is a child rapist, a murderer, or a drug dealer.
Trying to protect actual criminals out of a corrupted sense of moral superiority is a bold move, Cotton, but the AWFL's ego is powered by an inverted sense of moral licensing. In other words, they both have a sense of moral debt due to their "societal privilege" and yet are better than everyone else because they're acting out is pay back that moral debt. This leads to a sort of suicidal empathy where the AWFL is literally protecting and elevating the very people and ideologies that would enslave and/or kill them.

But while the AWFL is one of the worst products of the modern era, I think it'd be remiss not to shine a light on their opposites, and while the AWFL's hypocritical existence is shining brightly in the fires of the Iranian protests, I think shining just as brightly are the ones actually being what the AWFLs think they are.
The funny thing is, their opposites can also be affluent, white, and female. It really boils down to the amount of ego they have.
Let's take J.K. Rowling, for instance, a woman who I think represents the complete opposite of an AWFL despite being the whitest and most affluent of them all, and even a bit of a leftist to boot. Rowling is not interested in proving anything to anyone. She doesn't need her ego validated. In fact, she'll put herself into a position of being a social pariah to speak the truth.
As my colleague Katie Jerkovich noted, Rowling, the same woman who stood boldly against the transgender blitzkrieg of society even when it was wildly popular and powerful, is now standing in favor of the Iranian revolution and celebrating the women putting themselves in very real danger to speak out against the Islamic regime.

Moreover, she's calling out those supposed Western "feminists" who seem to be quiet about real women fighting for real rights because the people they're fighting for their rights against happen to be the enemies of the entity they hate most: the conservative American.

Then some tend to stand in opposition to modern feminism, and I don't mean conservative men or manosphere chuds. I mean Christian women. The same women whom the "feminists" claim are ceding women's rights to the patriarchy and consistently harming women by *checks notes* getting married and having children to create a traditional household.

If I had to describe the opposite of an AWFL, it's simply this: Women who live in reality.
