On Wednesday, I reported on a disgusting moment on the left that came in the form of Antifa surrounding a mother holding her baby and a frightened toddler as she tried to leave a Christian worship event.
It's a disgusting moment that, at this point, doesn't surprise anybody, but outside of the issue of the mother being surrounded and even charged at by an insane counter-protester was the egregious reaction by Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell.

As I reported, Harnell not only accused Christians of starting it, he left out that it was city officials that set up the clash between the two groups by causing the event to be held in the same place Antifa held their CHOP/CHAZ takeover:
However, newly surfaced information revealed that the location of the event—Cal Anderson Park on Capitol Hill—was not the first choice of MayDay USA organizers. While they initially proposed hosting the event on Pike Street near the iconic Pike Place Market, a city official instead recommended “other Seattle Parks locations,” including Cal Anderson Park.
This revelation sparked criticism of Mayor Harrell’s handling of the situation. His administration's role in steering the event toward the park clashes with his later public condemnation, which framed the location choice as a deliberate affront to LGBTQ+ residents. The contradiction fueled accusations of political posturing and led to public outcry.
It was a moment that highlighted a serious issue that I think a lot of people don't think about too much, and it's that if many Democrats had their way, Christianity would not be a thing in the United States, or at the very least, you wouldn't be able to practice it without some sort of government oversight. They would likely demand licenses and registries in the name of "safety."
It's not an assumption I make blindly. Authoritarian governments have a history of forcing religious groups to register themselves, especially of the Judeo-Christian variety. China forces Christians to attend state-run churches, forbidding the practice of worshiping at home, and North Korea prohibits the practice altogether, with only a few state-run churches giving the illusion of religious freedom. Owning a Bible leads to a death sentence.
But I could tell you that if Democrats were able to do that, then the United States of America would cease to be. It may bear the same name, but it wouldn't be the USA as you know it.
You could say that the prohibition of religious freedom for anyone would be a real knock to the health and vibrancy of the United States, but this applies to Christianity more than any other religion in the world. Without Christianity, it all falls apart. Christianity is the cornerstone from which all other religions enjoy their existence within its borders.
Historically, other religions are not so accommodating to others, especially when they become nationalistic, and that surprisingly includes Buddhism. The only other religions aside from Christianity that allow for other religions to be practiced freely are Judaism and Sikhism, but since the United States has been a Christian nation from the beginning, the freedom to practice your beliefs relies on Christian foundations.
And before someone says, "Atheism would allow it," I've already given you a few examples of atheist governments above that treat Christianity as a danger. Atheist-based states don't like it when the people hold something higher in authority than it. However, atheists also appreciate their free speech rights, and many of these rights are a thing because Christianity made it so.
Moreover, it's these Christian foundations that allow for the greatest of our God-given rights, free speech, which goes hand-in-hand with the freedom to practice religion. The freedom to voice your faith cannot be restricted, as the profession of faith requires speech. There's a reason why the left often tries to tie hate speech to Christian beliefs.
"You can't say homosexuality is a sin" or "You can't refuse to use someone's preferred pronouns" aren't just an attempt to control everyday speech, it's an attempt to control expressions of faith.
Moreover, the entirety of our rights as citizens of the United States are the end result of Christian philosophy. No matter your belief, Christianity's moral teachings and societal influence are what keep the United States free and healthy.
If Democrats were allowed to restrict it or terminate it, the bottom would fall out of this nation. Your God-given rights would mean nothing because the people in charge wouldn't recognize any god but themselves.

No matter what faith you are, even if you think you don't have one (atheists have more faith than anyone, but that's another article) it's in your best interest to make sure Christianity stays healthy and vibrant in the United States.
