The Democrats Clearly Don't Think the Law Applies to Them, and Trump Needs to Remind Them

If I've said this once, I've said it a million times: The Democrat Party's unofficial motto is "It's okay when we do it."

I can't count the number of times Democrats said "No one is above the law" during the 2024 election. In fact, they said it so much that I remember my eyes glazing over whenever a Democrat would launch into a tirade on the subject.

However, if there's one thing I've learned about Democrats over the course of my 15 years of covering politics, it's that if Democrats are going hard after a Republican for doing something to the point where it seems like an obsession for them, it's because they're doing it themselves, and usually to a much larger degree.

Sure enough, Democrats were demonstrating that in spades.

As my colleague Bonchie reported, everyone's understanding that Biden was never actually in charge was true. The fact that the government was being run by people who were unelected is also true, and apparently, the person making a lot of these awful decisions that helped drive America into a steep decline was none other than Hunter Biden.

This should open up a can of worms for the Biden family, many members of his administration, and more than a few media figures. It looks like these discoveries are already creating issues for the Democrats, as the bag of cocaine about which no conclusion was reached is being revisited

And then there was the report released on Tuesday, covered by my colleague Rusty Weiss, that effectively shows that Democrats are willingly committing felonies in order to keep illegal aliens in the country.

For instance, Rep. LaMonica McIver of New Jersey was physically assaulting DHS agents, and the Democrat response seems to be to "double down," according to Rep. Greg Landsman of Ohio. It's not just him, either:

Rep. Delia Ramirez (D-IL) echoed Landsman's call to double down on their oversight efforts and claimed she'd be perfectly content if she were arrested in the process.

"I think we should be doubling down, and I think what you're hearing from our members is we need to be spending next week doing these visits," she said, according to Axios.

"I'm prepared to go to the detention centers in Indiana," added Ramirez. "If they're going to arrest me, then so be it."

Funny that the Democrat Party had spent an absurd amount of energy trying to convince people not to vote for Trump because he was a felon, and now they're more than happy to make themselves into felons for the sake of keeping illegal alien felons in the country.

But the response from the Trump administration should be something along the lines of "Your terms are acceptable."

I see this as a major turning point in our nation, despite it being entertaining to watch Democrats freak out and commit crimes in broad daylight. If Trump doesn't come down hard on the Biden administration, the Biden family, and the Democrats willing to commit assaults for the sake of protecting criminals, then we're establishing that laws only apply to certain people.

Those people will be Democrats in power, who are currently saying to the American people that they are, in fact, above the law and that they shouldn't ever be punished for doing what they want.

I see this as a dangerous precedent to set, and Trump's DOJ needs to start making examples out of these people. Maximum sentences for their crimes, and not because they're Democrats, but because they're in positions of power, and America has grown sick and tired of the powerful getting away with things everyone else suffers consequences for.

Keep in mind that the Democrat Party went around arresting people whose only "crime" on January 6 was being present at the Capitol. Even right-leaning reporters were paraded around in chains for their coverage.

The left used the law to intimidate and ruin others and empower themselves. Trump needs to restore faith in the legal system by making it clear that the law isn't a weapon to be wielded in a partisan manner. It comes after everyone who breaks the law.

He needs to do this swiftly, and moreover, make a show of it.
