I don't know if you saw it, but I did, so now you do, too.
There's a meme going around Instagram and TikTok where you play the character selection screen music from Super Smash Bros., then have your friends (or different versions of yourself) appear on-screen with different stats, as if the person watching was selecting a character in a game. The meme more or less died out last year, but it looks like Democrat women just discovered it and made the mistake of making one for themselves.
What resulted is what can only be described as a "mistake." Naturally, it has all the usual characters. AOC and Jasmine Crockett are in it, because of course they are.

Needless to say, the comments were not kind. The video was so awkward and try-hard that the only people who gave it any approval were the AOC diehards, and that's a pool that's been drying up for some time. Oh, and naturally, the media wanted to praise it, too.
Luckily, Scott Jennings wasn't having any of it, and he was very blunt about it during a CNN panel.
Jennings was sharing the panel with Washington Rep. Marilyn Strickland (D), who's also Secretary of the Congressional Black Caucus. The clip begins with her saying that when you do anything creative, it's going to get criticism, and that she applauds them for trying to do something different.
Hilariously, the camera cuts to a split-screen at that moment, with Jennings already making his signature "Oh, really?" face. Strickland continued by saying the reality is that it got people talking enough that they're currently discussing it on national television. CNN's Abby Phillip, whose face betrayed that she actually might agree with Jennings here, asked: "To what end?"
Then Jennings spoke up.
"I am not accustomed to helping your party do anything," Jennings began, "but let me give you some advice."
"This was the dumbest thing I've ever seen, and if you read the comments today — Lord have mercy," said Jennings.
"Scrambling for new social media and communication strategies is not a replacement for fixing what's actually wrong," he continued. "Your party has a 21 percent approval rating right now — congressional Democrats — according to Quinnipiac —"
From here, Strickland had apparently had enough reality for one day and began attempting to turn the conversation to Donald Trump and what he's doing wrong.
"Donald Trump is doing nothing for the American people," said Strickland.
"And he has a 50 percent approval rating," Jennings shot back.
As Strickland attempted to talk over Jennings with the usual anti-Trump accusations, Jennings continued in his quest to help Strickland understand where her party is at.
"Fix the policy and leave the gimmicks behind," said Jennings.
This might be the best CNN Scott Jennings clip yet.

As usual, Jennings is on the money. The Democrats keep trying to find ways to work around what they refuse to fix, which is their habit of taking the 20 in every 80/20 issue there is.

But the problems will persist because the Democrats are too radicalized at this point to stop themselves from pushing things that only please a small subset of Americans.
