No emotion is abused in this nation more than "compassion." It's one that comes stock with a nation with Judeo-Christian values, and the left has utilized this inherent American trait to make sure their agendas can survive.
Compassion is easy to abuse, because it opens the door for another emotion; guilt. The left preys on the feeling of guilt incessantly. You're supposed to feel guilty for living in the most advanced and comfortable nation on the planet. You're supposed to feel guilty of your wealth, your full belly, your technological prowess, and even the negative fallout from the practice of your God-given rights.
Guilt has been used by the left to brainwash people and get them in line to vote for Democrats in hopes that this guilt will be absolved.
That America's been had in terms of its compassion being abused has become clearer than ever over the last four years. It's that "compassion" that allowed rioters to run free through the streets, destroying, stealing, and assaulting. It's "compassion" that politicians claim they have when businesses are forced to close because of incessant looting. It's a sick sort of "compassion" that blue cities and states display when they free criminals while punishing those who speak out against them.
Moreover, it's "compassion" that's used to beat us over the head with when it comes to our immigration crisis.
Remember a few days ago when I posted about the crying woman captured by the WaPo reporter that just so happened to be there the moment she found out her CBP One app appointment had been canceled?

I felt nothing when I watched this moment. To be fair, I felt nothing because I'm pretty sure it's staged, but even if it wasn't and this woman is actually that upset, I'm still not sure I'd have felt bad for her.
If she's honestly trying to get into the country through legitimate means, and to come here and become an American, contributing to the country and embracing it, then I truly hope she succeeds, and she gets the necessary assistance to become a productive member of our society.
But when I see things like this report from Tom Homan, who noted that of the 1,300 people arrested, over 1,000 of them were criminals, and I don't think he means in the sense that they came here illegally. He means they committed crimes that harmed a community. Some of these people were already in jail, and ICE got them while they were behind bars.

Our open border let in so many criminals that I'm honestly struggling to put a number to it, and I don't just mean a solid number of criminals here illegally. I mean the number of crimes they have committed, be it thievery, destruction, or assaults. Those assaults come in many varieties as well. Laken Riley and Jocelyn Nungary's family can tell you all about that.
Earlier this week, I wrote that the Democrat Party's line of attack on Trump for this term would be to paint he and his administration as "cruel." That would be the theme. They would prey on your compassion for these poor people just trying to get a better life in America that Trump is kicking out and won't let back in.
But there have been too many crimes, too many murders, too many rapes, and too many expenses. The problem got so bad you had entire Venezuelan gangs taking over apartment complexes in Colorado.
I don't have the ability to feel bad for these people any longer.
I'm not going to sit here and paint every single person trying to get into America as a criminal. I'm not so fed up to paint them all with that broad of a brush. However, too many people are not here for noble reasons. A great deal of them are here to commit crimes and prey on a lucrative system, harming who they want in the process.
They need to go. All of them. Today.
I'll worry about the noble ones later. If they're truly good, they'll understand.
To reiterate my position on this issue once more, I present Theo Von.
