You’ve probably noticed a pattern with the left already. They are highly confident amidst total ignorance, meaning they can have no real experience with something but they will absolutely know more about it than people who have first-hand knowledge of the subject.
Some solid examples of this are young communist college students who seem to have more wisdom and knowledge about communism than the people trying to flee communist countries to America and experienced the difference firsthand.
City-dwelling environmentalists always seem to know more about how to take care of the environment and protect the flora and fauna of an area than the people who lived on the land and have been keeping the balance for generations.
But lately, the most ignorant are the ones who have never had children, never will have children, yet seem to know more about good parenting than any parent.
On Tuesday, Streiff wrote an in-depth piece about the war against parents’ rights from the left. While there are a lot of very important issues to go to war over, this might be the most important one of them all, and as Streiff details, the left is doing its absolute best to wrest control of the children from the parents and put them in the hands of the state.

Streiff highlights one article, in particular, recently written by Sarah Jones for the New York magazine. The article (which you can read here if you can stomach it) is filled to the brim with castigations against parenting and even goes after laws that allow young teenagers to find work. She also claims that parents see children as “property,” and feel that in order to correct this problem, the state must claim the children as their own.
She also declares that Christian upbringing poses a danger to children and uses three examples of children dying from abuse while the parents had a specific book released by a Baptist minister on their shelves. Jones is an atheist as any social justice leftist would be, and she makes her hatred of God and the Bible pretty apparent.
The pièce de résistance comes from Jones declaring that the home is a far more dangerous place to be for the child because not only are homeschooled children not a part of mainstream academia but there are guns in the house! Also, she manages to fit children being the personification of women’s subjugation.
What does Jones know about kids?
Nothing. She’s pretty knowledgeable about cats, though.

Jones is hardly alone. She’s just one more person suffering from a disease that pervades the left; an overabundance of hubris and very little in the way of actual knowledge. Her unmitigated bigotry towards Christians is her lens into seeing a Judeo-Christian country as evil and in need of immediate correction, and the only entity that can do that is a state given total control over the people, especially their children.
This is all, of course, nonsense. Christian households tend to keep to traditional values such as strong marriage bonds, heterosexuality, proven values, and healthy morals. This creates far more stable households and as has been proven time and again, a stable household creates stable children.
Moreover, as detailed by the James G. Martin Center for Academic Renewal, homeschooling not only helps kids excel, the rates of abuse for homeschooled children are lower than those going to public schools:
A growing body of research indicates that graduates of home-based education excel. Eleven of the 16 peer-reviewed studies on success into adulthood (including college) showed that homeschoolers had better results for political tolerance, college GPA, and college retention than students in conventional schools. After reviewing the relevant literature, Gloeckner and Jones concluded that the “comparative results of the studies reported in this review, combined with the data collected from college admission officers provide evidence that homeschooling is an effective alternative path to college for the children of many families.”
Homeschoolers are not being educationally deprived, maltreated, or abused. On the contrary, the research literature suggests that rates of abuse (e.g., physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect) are lower among homeschoolers than institutionally schooled children.
All signs point to the left’s claims that children are suffering outside the embrace of the state system as being completely false. The mainstream idea that homeschooled children are ignorant and weird is an untrue stereotype.
The bottom line is that your kids are safer and more likely to succeed under your direct care.
Yet that hasn’t stopped the left from proclaiming that your children belong under their thumb. They raise nothing more difficult than a small house pet while they declare their attempted seizure of your children is the smart, moral, and righteous thing to do.
As I’ve stated time and again, you are at war with an overpowered and well-funded radical left whether you like it or not. There are many fronts to this war, but the war for your children is probably the most important. This is where the future is truly decided, and parents should fight like hell to keep their kids safe from the predators and groomers that comprise the mainstream and the state.
