There's Racism and Then There's 'Racism'

“The police who killed Tyre Nichols were Black. But they might still have been driven by racism.”

That’s an honest-to-God headline that was published on CNN by professional race-baiter Van Jones in response to the death of Tyre Nichols, 29, by being beaten to death by several black police officers.

The footage of the assault on Nichols by these black police officers is pretty difficult to watch. It doesn’t help that. Nichols was supposedly a decent person who didn’t deserve to be treated the way he was.

Many parts of our nation were ready to throw their weight behind a socio-political movement and stand back as it and its affiliated groups proceeded to burn down sections of towns and cities, assault and kill innocent people, and steal from innocent business owners after the death of a career criminal and drug addict died at the hands of police officers in Minneapolis. For all intents and purposes, this perfect example of police brutality should have reignited that feeling across the nation, and yet these groups remain silent.

Too many things don’t align for that kind of movement to be reactivated and a lot of it has to do with the race of the officers involved. This was black-on-black violence and the marching orders of the left regarding this kind of violence is “the less said the better.” Still, this was a big story regarding a black man being attacked by the police, so this needed to be rationalized from a leftist perspective.

Enter Van Jones:

One of the sad facts about anti-Black racism is that Black people ourselves are not immune to its pernicious effects. Society’s message that Black people are inferior, unworthy and dangerous is pervasive. Over many decades, numerous experiments have shown that these ideas can infiltrate Black minds as well as White. Self-hatred is a real thing.

That’s why a Black store owner might regard customers of his same race with suspicion, while treating his White patrons with deference. Black people can harbor anti-Black sentiments and can act on those feelings in harmful ways.

The honest translation of this is: This might have been black-on-black violence but because this was police violence, it still counts as white-on-black violence because white people train black people to be racist against black people.

If you’re black, Jones’s reasoning should be pretty insulting as he’s pretty much saying that black people are just easily trained by white people into self-hatred. This wasn’t just a moment of corruption rearing its ugly head, it had to be racially motivated because the narrative requires it so.

Here we see, not racism, but “racism.”

We can see it again in a more recent example with the rant given to us by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez upon Ilhan Omar being tossed off the Foreign Affairs committee where she claimed Republicans were just leaning back into their tried and true racism that was exacerbated after 9/11.

Was it racism that caused Republicans to throw Omar off the committee? Of course not. Omar can’t be trusted because of the things she herself has said in her hubris while Democrats were in charge as my colleague Bonchie wrote:

Omar is an open anti-Semite who has not only harmed relations with an important ally in Israel but has also said Israel being Jewish means it’s not a legitimate democracy. She has been repeatedly condemned, yet still continues to make anti-Semitic and false comments about Israel and the Jewish people. The House Foreign Affairs committee exists to promote America’s foreign policy, including toward its allies. Having someone like Omar sit on it is simply not defensible.

It’s like having a coyote on the chicken coop defense committee. It just doesn’t work to have someone who openly wants the destruction of the nation we’re supposed to foster a relationship with.

There was no racism involved but what AOC is accusing Republicans of is “racism.”

Don’t get me wrong. There is very real racism out there, but Americans have been so trained to see it only one way that they’ve forgotten what it actually looks like. Mainstream society is openly racist against white people but this is pardoned with mental gymnastics by mainstream sources to the point where people don’t recognize it when it happens right in front of their faces.

Instead of focusing on the very real and destructive racism suffered by various groups in a myriad of ways, we’re left focusing on “racism” or the sword and shield of the Democrat agenda.

The overuse of the accusation is going to desensitize people to the concept and with racism going unrecognized and “racism” being a tired attack by Democrats that holds no weight, real racism may see a very real resurgence.
