Taylor Lorenz Gets Embarrassed Again After Claims of Harassments are Shot Down by Witness

Washington Post reporter Taylor Lorenz sure loves attention, but the attention she finds most useful is the kind she can make herself a victim with. We can add this story to the pile.

On Saturday, Lorenz announced that she’ was currently at a rally in front of Instagram’s HQ to resist Meta’s less than fair moderation practices. Taking to Twitter, Lorenz noted where she was and posted a digital flier that gave the exact address, time, and date.

Of course, it wasn’t long before Lorenz tweeted out that she was being harassed by men who saw the post and came to confront her. Whether or not some actually did track her down and begin confronting her wasn’t actually proven. Lorenz didn’t provide any video or photo evidence.

Not much later, a man (described as a minority with autism) posted a short video explaining what had actually happened. According to his video, he had shown up to this very public protest to be supportive and meet some anti-Zuck protesters he’d been communicating with for a while. He was 25 feet away from Lorenz and had no intention of actually interacting with her.

At some point, Lorenz came up to him and asked him his name, after which she asked him to leave. The man said he simply went and that was that.

So, the man didn’t even go there to meet Lorenz. According to him, he was going there to meet the protesters that put on the event, as he’d had interactions with them on their protest Discord server and he wanted to shake their hands in person. It was Lorenz who actually approached and confronted him, yet according to Lorenz, the interaction took place the other way around.

According to some digging by Ariadna Jacob, the story goes a bit deeper between this man and Lorenz. Jacob noted that this man might be the same who used to be a fan of Lorenz that would repost content from her public accounts. According to revealed messages, Lorenz loved this attention at first but then it quickly turned sour when it was clear that her own public posts were being displayed on another account outside of her control. It wasn’t long before she was demanding that he stop reposting her stuff, accusing him of being “invasive” and noting that she can only assume he intends to do her harm.

According to time stamps, these interactions happened as late as November of last year.

It would be one thing if the man had gone to the protest to stalk Lorenz, and the fact that he was previously running a fan account of hers does make it a bit odd. However, if he was previously interacting with these protesters in their Discord and wanting to meet them, then that makes him and Lorenz being at the same place and time a coincidence. Moreover, if he was keeping his distance and not interacting with her, then that makes her speaking with him her fault.

Personally, I’m more inclined to believe the man over Lorenz. The Washington Post reporter has a history of overdramatizing things to make herself seem like a victim in any given interaction. Lorenz has also had her public history on Twitter purged from the Wayback Machine. Apparently, Lorenz really doesn’t like having her internet history available to the public, which explains her sudden desperation to have the man above delete his fan accounts.

This is the same Lorenz who doxxed Libs of TikTok and stalked the account runner’s family members.

Her penchant for hypocrisy and self-victimization make this entire drama likely just another day that ends in “y” for Lorenz who was never in any danger.
