Frequent MSNBC guest and marketing strategist Donny Deutsch didn’t hold back his contempt for the direction the Democrat Party is going while appearing on Morning Joe on Monday. In fact, he’s very sure that with the current embrace of radical leftist politics, Democrats would fail if they ran anybody other than former President Donald Trump.

What’s more, it would appear that Morning Joe show host Joe Scarborough agrees.

“If the Republicans ran anybody but Donald Trump, they would win in a landslide,” Deutsch said. “Anybody just right of center, anybody.”

Deutsch warned that if someone like Ron DeSantis were to run against Biden in 2024, then the Republican governor would win by “double digits.” Scarborough added that he’d never seen the Democrats so wildly out of step with mainstream America and that it’s causing quite a bit of unrest from within.

“Donny, I’m hearing this from lifelong liberals, lifelong progressives on a variety of issues,” said Scarborough.

Deutsch noted that he lives in a deep blue area in the Upper East Side of Manhattan that couldn’t be more left-leaning. He and his neighbors all voted for Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, but not a lot of Biden voters, just anti-Trump voters. According to Deutsch, Biden doesn’t have the hearts and minds of the country, and what’s worse, the radical leftists the Democrat Party is embracing are poisoning the people against it.

“And the other Democrats that we see being paraded forward, the AOC’s of the world, the far-left, are suicide for the Democrats,” said Deutsch. “So the Democrats better get some new faces and the Democrats better figure out that this world lives just right of center or on a good year, just left of center and it’s this socialist kind of pulling all the way to the left is a disaster.”

Deutsch warned that if this lesson doesn’t sink in by 2024 then it never will and that Democrats “need to understand where the world lives.”

To be sure, Democrat policies have seemingly drifted so far to the left that their decisions have become nonsensical. The lack of border security is one such issue that’s being handled in a way that would only make sense to an ideologue. Ceasing work on a border wall that we’ve already sunk a lot of money into seemed a ridiculous move, and is now proving to be one as our porous border lets in wave after wave of illegal migrants.

Of course, you could possibly say that about many of the other decisions that were made. On day one, Biden ceased work on the Keystone KL pipeline, terminating thousands of jobs and halting a clean and easy way to transport oil from Canada to the United States.

Now, we face an avoidable fuel and energy crisis but the ideologues on the left refuse to allow drilling in the United States by any means.

It’s issues like these and more that are killing Democrats. Americans are souring on the left, and especially Biden. As his poll numbers continue to plummet, the midterm elections look more and more like a sure thing for Republicans. The Democrat Party should heed Deutsch’s warning. This nation is not a radical left nation. It’s center-right most of the time, and the Democrats are leaving America behind.
