Say what you will about Donald Trump being the largest threat to Democrats and the leftist agenda, but in his current state as “former President,” his ability to affect agendas is greatly reduced. That’s not the case for Kentucky Senator and libertarian-conservative Rand Paul, who may be leading one of the most effective charges against leftist narratives and indoctrination seen for some time.
Paul has always been something of a bull in the Democrats’ china shop, and his recent efforts to expose Dr. Anthony Fauci’s possible involvement in the creation of the COVID-19 virus — thanks to taxpayer funds going through the NIH to China — has made him one of the most hated people to ever exist for the left.
This kind of havoc he’s bringing down upon the left has them losing their minds, including openly calling for violence to be done against him, sending him white powder in the mail, and more. While many Republicans are mocked, insulted, and hounded with hate, Paul inspires an actual will to violence by blue check marks on Twitter and openly agreed upon by users, and with no pushback from Twitter itself for a while.
Calling for more violence against Paul is nothing new. Ever since the 2017 incident where his neighbor attacked him, broke two of his ribs, and punctured a lung in the process, violence against Paul has almost become a fun meme to post for the left. While his neighbor claimed he physically attacked Paul over a “landscaping dispute,” Paul sincerely doubts it, and it only makes the celebrations of Paul’s neighbor that much more disgusting.
Even if his neighbor did attack Paul over a lawn issue, the calls for continued violence against Paul aren’t.
It reached a head when C-list celebrity Richard Marx celebrated Paul’s neighbor, strictly because Paul was busy uncovering the truth behind Fauci and the Chinese Institute of Virology. As RedState’s Scott Hounsell has been reporting, Paul has been grilling Fauci about gain-of-function research being conducted in Wuhan, China, where the virus is thought to have originated, on how the coronavirus found in bats could infect people:
As an aside, NIH announced in December 2017 that it was lifting the moratorium on gain-of-function research. It has been reported that Fauci ordered the resumption of funding without consulting the White House or, by extension, the HHS, which is required under the gain-of-function research guidelines.

Paul began cornering Fauci on the matter, and the left can’t deal with it. If Fauci is the bad guy, then their total and complete obedience to his every word, their reliance on him to make Republicans look unscientific and stupid, plus their entire narrative on the virus fly out the window and expose their incompetence and un-scientific approach to a highly public, global problem.
Paul’s line of questioning released blood into the water that can’t be ignored. The pressure on Fauci is great enough that he went from vehemently denying the NIH could have helped fund the possible creation of the COVID-19 virus to saying it’s entirely possible it happened.
Meanwhile, Fauci appears on left-leaning networks to openly bash Paul, while never having to answer very serious questions that should be asked of him at this point. Paul has raked the media over the coals for this, as well.
Meanwhile, Paul is affecting real change. The Senate recently passed his amendment to halt China’s gain-of-function research, which passed 53 to 46 with actual cheers. Paul is also pushing the DOJ to look into the likelihood that Planned Parenthood stole $80 million in your taxpayer dollars with fraudulent PPP loans.
Paul is a man on the warpath, and the left want it to stop so bad that they’re willing to openly wish harm on him. The calls for violence are a clear sign that there’s an actual presence of fear surrounding Paul.
In my opinion, this makes Paul the most feared man in the Republican party. He’s not afraid to cut right to the heart of any given matter and expose the truth in spite of threats, public tarring and feathering, and more.
