CNN host Don Lemon seems to believe that he has reached the pinnacle of morality because he has now deemed Jesus Christ, the perfect man, as imperfect.
Lemon said this during his split-screen moment with Chris Cuomo while handing off the baton for the next program to begin. The two were discussing the subject of our founding fathers being as venerated as they are in our culture.
“Jesus Christ, if that’s who you believe in, Jesus Christ, admittedly, was not perfect when he was here on this earth,” said Lemon.
“So why are we deifying the founders of this country, many of whom owned slaves,” he continued. “And in the Constitution, the original one, they put slavery in there, that slavery should be abolished because it was the way the king wanted, and then the Congress said, ‘no way.’”
“Jesus Christ, if that’s who you believe, if that’s who you believe in, admittedly was not perfect when he was here on this earth.”

Firstly, who is Lemon to say that the man who lived a perfect life was imperfect? He uses the word “admittedly. What is there to admit? What information is Lemon basing this off of? Does he know something about Christ that we don’t?
I sincerely doubt that.
Lemon seems to be basing his judgment on Christ’s life based on his own sense of morality which has been proven to be shaky at best. This is the same man that told everyone that white men were the largest terrorist threat to the United States. His ideal of black lives mattering only really extends to black lives that fit certain criteria according to his recent interview with Terry Crews. Lemon laughs to the point of tears with people who mock you as stupid and ignorant because you hold different beliefs.
There are many people on this Earth who can help lend a glimpse at what we consider “perfect” but Don Lemon isn’t one of them.
I also want to turn my attention to Cuomo who is a self-professed Catholic. During Lemon’s judgment on Christ, the Son of God that Cuomo claims to worship, Cuomo did not rise to Christ’s defense. He hardly said a word. With thousands of eyes on him (I’d say millions but CNN’s viewership doesn’t get that high) Cuomo denied Christ with his silence.
The truth is, Jesus lived a sinless life and was made perfect through the suffering he endured at the hands of both Satan and humanity. He died sinless so that he could take our sins from us forever. If Jesus was not perfect then the entirety of our culture, our nation, and the basis for our moral framework means nothing.
And therein lies the point.
I’ve been saying for some time that we’re currently living through a civil war of ideas and thought. To win this war, the left must control what we think and part of that is deconstructing and marring the things we hold dear. The founding fathers have been recent targets as well as our monuments. Now they’re going to start coming for Christ. It’s only the natural next step, since God is the foundation of all our morals, laws, and the majority of our traditions in America.
If they can convince you that the entire framework and foundations of our nation are based on lies and evils then they can effectively eliminate the current system and implement their own to the sound of your applause.
To be clear, these are immoral people who consider themselves as the height of moral supremacy attempting to make the rules of our society by tearing down what you believe in.
Not only is Lemon wrong, but his intent is also malicious.
