One of the casualties of the COVID-19 pandemic has been the wide world of sports, but never fear: John Krasinski is back with his YouTube show “Some Good News” where he gives us some at-home sports from around the nation.
Since you guys seem to love you some Krasinski and moreover, some good news in the midst of all this bad news constantly streaming in from any working electronic device, I’m once again posting Krasinski’s amazing YouTube news program that makes me wonder if we could get a late-night show just like this out of the guy.
Krasinski kicks off the episode by doing what many news outlets won’t do, and that’s cover the people coming off of ventilators, including a 104-year-old World War 2 vet who shrugged off the virus. When you’ve faced down the axis powers and won, a pandemic is nothing.
This week, for Episode 3, Krasinski focuses on sports taking place in the homes, be it playing together or making funny commentary while dogs play. Special guest sports commentator Joe Buck even stops by to make some comments on a couple of clips himself.
The highlight of the episode comes when Krasinski treats some local nurses and doctors to a big Red Sox day of fun with special guest David Ortiz. Krasinski brings the medical staff to Fenway Park to allow them to have some fun on the field as everyone from the Governor to the entire Red Sox team applauds them in a video.
It’s a very touching episode that I think we can all enjoy.
As I said, I’ll continue posting these “SGN” episodes to RedState every week. I think at a time when we constantly hear about how the sky is falling, it’s good to have at least one source that’s telling us every little thing is going to be alright.
