If you’ve been on any social media network long enough, you’ll come across various mainstream news sources throwing up factoids about coronavirus case numbers. They always look the same, and they always seem to make China look good.
They usually follow the pattern of “(Insert country here) coronavirus cases rise to X, surpassing China.”
There are two implications here. One, that things are really bad in the country they’re reporting on and two, that things are not that bad in China because China has it together.

As my colleague Sister Toldjah wrote on Monday, there is plenty of evidence out there that tells us the numbers China is feeding us are absolutely false, and only Republican politicians seem to want to get down to the real facts of the matter while our own media is perfectly happy to let China’s narrative thrive.
“Some in our media can’t contain their glee & delight in reporting that the U.S. has more #CoronaVirus cases than #China Beyond being grotesque, its bad journalism We have NO IDEA how many cases China really has but without any doubt its significantly more than why they admit t,” tweeted Sen. Marco Rubio.
“It’s even worse. We KNOW China is lying. On 3/1, China had 80,026 reported cases. On 3/28, it had 81,439. Does anyone believe this highly contagious virus just stopped in China on 3/1, right as it became a pandemic worldwide? And American media (for $$) willingly repeat the lies,” added Sen. Ted Cruz in his own tweet.

The mainstream media has been carrying China’s water for the entire duration of this pandemic. The moment China starts to push a new narrative, our own media seems to hop to. For instance, everyone in the mainstream media and their dog was calling it the “Chinese coronavirus” or “Wuhan coronavirus” for a good long while before China suddenly wanted to disassociate itself from the plague it had unleashed.
Suddenly, it was racist and xenophobic to identify the coronavirus, which originated in Wuhan, China, as being from Wuhan or China.
As I talk about in my latest video. There are quite a few examples of China suggesting everyone jump and the media asking how high.
The question needs to be asked as to why.
The first answer is obvious. As I cover in my video, the media is lost in its own derangement about Trump. It’s gotten to a point where it seems like many reporters would be willing to chop off their own limbs if it meant Trump would be forced from office and thrown in jail.
Trump makes no attempt to hide his disdain for China, and if the enemy of your enemy is your friend, then China and our own media are in perfect positions to be besties. Running defense and propping up narratives for the communist government is nothing to them in the quest to own Trump.
The second, however, warrants some investigation.
The media is known for hiding its investors. In 2011, NPR became tied up in a firestorm after hard-left financier George Soros gave it $1.8 million. This was the tip of the iceberg that exposed Soros as the source of a lot of silent money that went to many mainstream news outlets as Fox News reported. It’s now an open secret that Soros and the mainstream media are joined at the hip.
With our own media now openly running defense for China, the question has to be asked whether or not China is somehow slipping bills into the pockets of the right people in the industry or, more likely if our own mainstream media is trying to placate the Chinese government in order to keep business going overseas.
We’ve recently watched as China has either threatened or actually proceeded to ban businesses from their country for carrying the wrong narrative or making commentary that didn’t at all please the Chinese censors. American media companies like Disney and even our own NBA constantly censor themselves in order to allow their product to exist in Chinese markets.
It’s not that large of a stretch to believe that corporations who own news outlets would want to maintain a friendly relationship with China and would, therefore, present their narrative as fact even in the face of mounting evidence that China’s narrative is a big, fat lie.
For instance, Comcast owns NBCUniversal, and it definitely wants its brands like DreamWorks to succeed in the Chinese market. So it would behoove any NBC related news organization to report exactly what China wants if it wants that influx of Chinese money to continue. Disney owns ABC News, and we are well aware of Disney going to various lengths to make sure China is happy with it.
There are a lot of media companies with hundreds of billions of green reasons why they would want to please China.
The gains appear two-fold. American media companies get to scratch their anti-Trump itch while pocketing cash from China after scratching its back, too.
