There is no sane reason why House Speaker Nancy Pelosi would ride in from an extended vacation and wreck a bipartisan bill that Republicans and Democrats had spent hours negotiating over. The bill was there to help Americans get the economic relief they’d need to weather the storm caused by the Chinese Coronvirus now plaguing us, not just in health but economically. Why anyone would attempt to swoop in and destroy its passage when Americans are waiting for it is beyond me, save for small government reasons.

I could respect arguments toward not putting out a costly stimulus package, but that’s not what Pelosi did. She walked in and began demanding that more costly things be put into the bill, some of which come straight out of the Green New Deal, which Democrats found so asinine that they wouldn’t put themselves on record as voting for it.

As Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas pointed out on the Senate floor, many of these demands from Pelosi are so ridiculous that we don’t even have the technology to meet them yet.

It’s clear that Pelosi didn’t do this because she wants to get more help to the American people. There is no help for Coronavirus problems by making the boards of corporations more diverse or required early voting. There is no help for our economy by demanding provisions for union collective bargaining or forcing airlines to display the greenhouse gas stats for individual flights.

No, Pelosi didn’t do this for the people, she did it because her Trump Derangement Syndrome forbids her to allow Trump to have a win, even at the cost of the livelihood and very lives of the American people.

That’s not just speculation. A Democratic member of the House has confirmed this according to the Washington Free Beacon:

Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D., N.J.) expressed frustration with her Democratic colleagues at a recent town hall, admitting they block legislation because they “don’t want to give the president a win.”

Speaking at a Livingston, New Jersey, town hall on Thursday, Sherrill revealed the “shockingly different mindset” of congressional Democrats who prioritize resisting President Donald Trump over passing legislation that could help their constituents.

“When I go, you know, I’ve gone up to people and said, ‘I need to get this piece of legislation passed,’ and they say ‘Oh yeah, we just passed it,'” Sherrill said. “I said, ‘Yeah, we just passed it. I need the Senate to pass it and I need the president to sign it,’ and they said ‘Well, we don’t want to give the president a win.'”

This recent move of Pelosi’s shows that’s she’s willing to sacrifice the American people and their economy in order to roll the dice on any chance that action might hurt Trump and his chances in 2020.

This is proof that Pelosi has, for lack of a more formal term, lost it.

It’s clear that Pelosi’s hatred of Trump has sent her into dark places and that her politics will come before anything else, including the American people. The Democrats have got to see this and recognize that Pelosi is a drag. Between the failed impeachment attempts, promising Americans to raise their taxes, this killing of a stimulus bill, and everything in between, it’s clear that Pelosi is a horrific leader and an even worse strategist.

What’s more, the American people see this. This fiasco, in particular, is going to stick out like a sore thumb. Even the parts of the mainstream media are refusing to defend her, and are even calling the Democrat party out.

If Democrats want to seem like a party that has any chance of getting its act together, then it needs to ditch the dead weight that Pelosi has become. She’s consumed by emotion and is willing to let her hatred of one person guide her every move. As a leader within the Democrat party, she makes the entire part look like fools.

It’s time for the House to vote her out.
