I’m pretty sure that, regardless of their cooperative nature with Sanders on the surface, the DNC was working against Sanders in various ways. As I said in a video I made about the DNC backstabbing Sanders, there were moments that stood out. Namely, the hit on Sanders by Sen. Elizabeth Warren during the commercial break of one debate where Warren called out Sanders for lying about her on national television.

It was a moment that seemed a little too perfect. A little too set up.

Regardless, Sanders was never going to win the nomination. No matter how many concerts he threw with The Strokes and no matter how many times Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez stood on stage with him, he was never going to reach the top. For one, he was relying too much on the most unreliable voter to carry him — the youth vote. It’s a voting group that tends to look energized on the surface, but when it comes time to put their money where their mouth is, they’re notoriously absent.

And that really stinks.

I don’t think many people understand the opportunity we’re missing out on here with Sanders losing and Biden winning. We could have had everything that Sanders represents up on a national stage trying to win against everything America is as represented by President Donald Trump.

Here we have, in Sanders, a dyed-in-the-wool socialist. Here’s a man who wants to fundamentally reshape America into something it’s not, and never has been. He wants to take all the elements of failed states like Russia, North Korea, Venezuela, etc., and implement them into a nation that been leading the world in everything for generations because of the current system that it enjoys, capitalism.

He’s everything America is not. What’s more, he inspires full-on beliefs in everything we hate. Under him and his promises of free stuff, we’ve watched people promote gulags as a good thing, as well as getting everything handed to you thanks to payments by someone else willing to work harder and longer than them — if the “gimme gimmes” feel like they want to work at all.

Imagine all of that, represented by Sanders, competing and losing to America, represented by Trump.

The debates would be a bloodbath. Unlike his fellow Democrats, Trump wouldn’t have had any qualms about bringing up Sanders’ hypocrisy about owning multiple homes. He wouldn’t have shied away from talking about Sanders’ past of showering praise on communist dictators or honeymooning in communist Russia. Trump would have gotten straight to the heart of the matter when it came to making Sanders answer for how he’ll pay for all this unobtainable free stuff he’s falsely promising to the people.

It would have been an amazing thing to watch, but more importantly, it would have been an important lesson to learn.

I’m not saying that any dyed-in-the-wool “late-stage capitalism” types would have had their mind changed. They do as much as they can to keep any kind of reality from really sinking in as it is. However, anyone with a lick of common sense would have become disillusioned by the curtain being ripped back and the scared old man being exposed for what he is; an idiot and a huckster, not a grand wish-granting wizard.

Watching someone like Sanders fall so hard would have been an important lesson to many people, but most importantly, an important lesson to America. For the first time in a long time, it would have seen socialism flounder on the mainstream stage after too long of it either going ignored or propped up by politicians and mainstream news sources. It would have proven to Americans and the world that the United States is not a socialist nation and God willing, never will be.
