Ted Cruz Sends Democrats to Burn Ward Over Disastrous Iowa Caucus

Subcommittee Chairman Ted Cruz, R-Texas, speaks as Federal Aviation Administration Acting Administrator Daniel Elwell, National Transportation Safety Board Chairman Robert Sumwalt, and Department of Transportation Inspector General Calvin Scovel appear before a Senate Transportation subcommittee hearing on commercial airline safety, on Capitol Hill, Wednesday, March 27, 2019, in Washington. The Iowa caucus was nothing short of a disaster for Democrats and you can bet Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has some things to say about it.

Appearing on Fox News, Cruz couldn’t help but note that the party that can’t even count votes in a gym is the same party that wants to be in charge of major things that affect your life.

“Dems, right now, they can’t stand in a gymnasium and count who stands under which sign and they’re the ones that want to be in charge of our healthcare and everything else in our life,” Cruz told “Fox & Friends.”

“I mean, these are the socialist candidates who say, ‘We know best, trust us to run your life.’ Well, guys, how about figure out how to count your votes first.”

Cruz also tweeted out this exact thing earlier today on Twitter.

Cruz may be speaking as a Republican watching his opponents fail, but at this juncture, it’s likely Cruz is saying what many people are thinking, including some Democrat voters who are daily losing faith in their own party.

Between Democratic candidates getting shafted by the Democratic establishment like Bernie Sanders…

…and Mayor Pete Buttigieg claiming victory before any of the votes were even cast, to the number of coin flips that had to occur in order to decide what delegates go where (READ: Democratic Iowa Ballot Managers Deciding Who Wins Delegates With Coin Tosses) the Democrat party looks like an unorganized, and more importantly, unreliable mess.

Meanwhile, Trump’s job approval rating is at a record high with both Republicans and Independents giving him the thumbs up. The Republican party looks in charge, stable, and competent.

If people weren’t already thinking about what Cruz was saying, then this is an important point to think about for many voters.
