House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is attempting to paint the impeachment proceedings of President Donald Trump as some noble thing no one in Congress really wants to do, but the enthusiasm of her colleagues in the past proves otherwise.
While speaking to the House earlier today, Pelosi was standing next to a board with a picture of an American flag on it and claimed that Democrat’s intentions were pure as the driven snow.
“Nobody — I doubt anybody in this place — or anybody that you know comes to Congress to take the oath of office, comes to Congress to impeach the President of the United States,” said Pelosi.
Benny Johnson of Turning Point USA quickly posted a video that shows just how wrong the House Speaker is. Following Pelosi’s claim, Johnson shows various clips of Democrat lawmakers proclaiming that their intention is to impeach Trump.
“I am not running for anything except the impeachment of Trump,” said Maxine Waters to a cheering crowd on The View.
The next clip shows the infamous clip of Rep.Rashida Tlaib and her “we’re going to impeach the mother f**ker” clip.
This is followed by fellow “Squad” members, Reps. Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, answering very upfront that when it came to impeaching Donald Trump, they’d vote yes.
Nancy Pelosi just claimed that no one came to Congress to Impeach Trump.
Yes, actually they did: pic.twitter.com/35SPyomX9e

The truth is, Democrats have been able to talk about almost nothing but impeachment, and have been trying desperately to find any possible excuse they could in order to do it. Be it Russia, racism, or Ukraine, the Democrats’ complete lack of faith in their ability to win an election has them grasping at any straw that they can find.
Andrew Yang seems to be the only candidate who finds the flaw in the plan, noting that Democrats are only going to lose as they discuss impeachment more and more, and he’s correct. A recent poll from The Hill found that key battleground states are mostly against the impeachment of Trump.
Regardless, I think Pelosi’s attempt at trying to put a reluctant and noble mask on these impeachment proceedings is a bit ridiculous when it’s hard not to overlook the actual giddiness with which various Democratic lawmakers talk about it. Especially since this is all based on what is clearly a sham.
