Nancy Pelosi Has Lost It, Says She's Willing to Lose the House if It Means Trump Is Impeached

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi unveiled her stunningly advanced case of Trump Derangement Syndrom after making it clear that she, the leader of the House Democrats, is willing to lose the House to Republicans if it means they can succeed in getting President Donald Trump impeached.

Which they can’t because the Republican-held Senate would never allow it.

According to the Daily Caller, Pelosi was at the Texas Tribune Fest and was asked if the Democrat’s popularity would be affected by all the impeachment talk. Her response? It doesn’t matter:

“It doesn’t matter,” Pelosi said in response to a question from Texas Tribune CEO Evan Smith about whether she is worried how an impeachment inquiry will impact the 2020 House elections. “Our first responsibility is to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” She made the comments during an an interview at Tribune Fest, a festival in Texas highlighting newsmakers.

“People say you have to take a political risk doing that,” she added. “That doesn’t matter. That doesn’t matter. Because we cannot have a president of the United States undermining his oath of office, his loyalty to his oath of office, undermining our national security, and undermining the integrity of our elections.”

Let’s flatten this out so we can see it clearly.

The leader of the Democrats has a hatred for Trump that runs so deep that she’s willing to cripple her party in order to get Trump out of office.

The delicious part about this is, even if they manage to boot Trump, they still have President Mike Pence. Thus, Republicans still maintain power everywhere.

It’s not just Pelosi either, as my colleague Sister Toldja reported. The actual leader of the Democratic Party, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, is also of the same mind as Pelosi and suggested that vulnerable Democrats in districts that could go Republican at any moment should bite the bullet and risk getting voted out in order to vote for impeaching Trump.

It’s not exactly a brave position, given the fact that AOC is from a district where putting a D next to your name almost guarantees you an election win, but the fact that she’s willing to lose allies over it shows just how much their hatred defines their thinking.

Democrats believe that by losing the House while impeaching Trump they’re winning the war by losing a couple of battles. If they looked further than Trump, they would see that they’re losing everything with this mentality. Not only are they losing the war by just putting a different Republican in charge, but they’ll also now have lost any foothold they had.

This isn’t just silly. From the position of a die-hard Democrat voter, this is completely irresponsible.

It’s no wonder the Democrats are losing on everything from fundraising to approval numbers.
