What do Democrats have against kids? Honestly.
According to Reuters, 2020 Presidential candidate Robert “Francis” O’Rourke was known for doing some heinous things when he was younger. Apparently, at the age of 15, he wrote a disturbing fantasy where he became jealous of two children for being happy, and detailed running over them with his car, followed by “sweet visions” filling his head:
Another t-file from O’Rourke, written when he was 15, is a short and disturbing piece of fiction. “One day, as I was driving home from work, I noticed two children crossing the street. They were happy, happy to be free from their troubles…. This happiness was mine by right. I had earned it in my dreams.
“As I neared the young ones, I put all my weight on my right foot, keeping the accelerator pedal on the floor until I heard the crashing of the two children on the hood, and then the sharp cry of pain from one of the two. I was so fascinated for a moment, that when after I had stopped my vehicle, I just sat in a daze, sweet visions filling my head.”
To be clear, he was only 15 when he wrote this, and it’s my stance that people shouldn’t have these things held up against them far later in life. That said, I’m slightly taken aback by some of the wording O’Rourke used in the writing. He was oddly detailed about the children as he killed them. The weird idea of “sweet visions filling my head” is a bit much.
As a man who defended James Gunn, Roseanne Barr, and Tucker Carlson, I don’t think this should disqualify O’Rourke from running for President…but I sure as hell would like to hear his explanation for it.
While O’Rourke’s murder fantasy was just that, things that he actually did were use eminent domain to seize land from the poor in El Paso, Texas, in order to start development projects that benefited him and his father-in-law.
He also got into an accident while drunk, then attempted to drive away according to eyewitnesses. O’Rourke later denied that he tried to flee the scene, contrary to what the police report said.
Those aren’t just fantasy, those are actually things he did.
