Now that all the facts are out on the Jussie Smollett story and we know that the “Empire” actor faked the attack in order to stay on the show, a few things are clear.

The first is that Smollett is a horrible person who would quite literally worsen racial hostilities in order to keep his position on a show.  This is made even more apparent by the fact that Smollett was willing to press charges on two innocent people in order to make his case real.

The second is that the press is just as disgusting, if not more so.

While Smollett was willing to use a leftist anti-Trump/anti-white narrative in order to keep his part on a show, the media was only too ready to take Smollett’s story and run with it as fast as possible without waiting for any of the facts to catch up.

Everyone from CNN’s Don Lemon to The Atlantic’s Jemele Hill immediately began their wailing and gnashing of teeth. Rolling Stone, MSNBC, and PBS reporters all confirmed that the horrors that Trump was bringing onto the nation were as real as they’ve been telling us all along.

Before they even thought to question the validity of the story, the media began pouncing — two can play at that game — on Smollett’s claims like they were 100 percent factual. They finally had a case for their narrative. Proof that what they’ve been saying all along about Trump and his supporters is true. The reality that they wanted to live in was finally proven to be a reality.

And herein lies a very sick truth.

The leftist media hoped that a black, gay man had come to harm. They were thrilled to learn, or so they thought, that there really are roving gangs of racist, homophobic Trump supporters seeking out minorities and hurting them in various ways.

They were far too excited about the prospect that America is the bigoted country they’ve been screaming from soapboxes, claiming that it is.

How horrible is it that our media actually wishes that evil existed? That people were out there getting hurt? They’re so ready and willing to believe that this is happening in America that, not only will they not wait for the facts, they’ll point fingers and foment mistrust and hatred without knowing the story.

Why would they want this?

It all boils down to how the left obtains power.

Human beings are basically good creatures. Whenever they hear about someone suffering an injustice, or getting down on their luck, many do various things in order to help fix the problem. If someone suffered a crime, then generally the people will move to make sure that no one else suffers that crime again.

Tell the people that these victims are consistently created due to a problem and the people will do their best to make sure that the problem is solved.

If the problem is racism, and that racism is coming from their political opponents, then they’re banking on the fact that people will vote out any of those politicians in order to put in the kind, caring, and totally not racist politicians they approve of.

In short, the leftist media is attempting to manipulate people’s good nature in order to make them either subservient or offensive, depending on what group you belong to. The problems are only compounded when true believers of the cause are willing to lie and harm others in order to make sure their narrative thrives.

The media often times knows it’s withholding information, and telling half-truths, if not flat-out lying. This lie is divisive and creates the very problems they claim they’re trying to solve. The real truth is that America, while it has its racist characters, is not a racist country. It’s not homophobic, though a small number of homophobic people do exist.

It’s disgusting that our media would hope that we do live in a country as horrible as they claim, and God help us if we ever do live in a world the leftist media fantasizes about.
