Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal might be one of the worst plans in history, its stupidity is rivaled only by how funny it is, and little miss “SOTU Sit n’ Seethe” is already having trouble getting her story straight on it.

Things that stand out include requiring the United States to be leveled (literally) and rebuilt from the ground up, and that cow farts be banned. However, more hilarious is that the young democratic socialist from New York believes that in order for it to happen, the American people will just have to rally around the cause as they did back in WW2.

Not just the government. Ocasio-Cortez makes it clear that “every aspect of American society” will be needed to rally around the cause.

This means that individual freedoms, property, and more will need to be tossed out the door. Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t seem to have any problem admitting the plan will require this full government takeover as she told a radio show host Steve Inskeep of NPR on Thursday.

“As you know, congresswoman, one reason that people who are politically conservative are skeptical of efforts to combat climate change is that it sounds to them like it requires massive government intervention which they just don’t like,” said Inskeep. “Are you prepared to put on the table that yes, they’re actually right, what this requires is massive government intervention?”

“It does,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “It does. Yeah, I have no problem saying that.”

Yet, the freshman Democrat changes her tune when she knows the audience is much bigger.

While on MSNBC, AOC changed her tune, accusing the right of mischaracterizing her very blunt statement.

“One way that the Right does try to mischaracterize what we’re doing as though it’s like some kind of massive government takeover,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “Uh, obviously what we’re trying to do is, well obviously it’s not that because what we’re trying to do is release the investments from the federal government to mobilize those resources across the country.”

Either her handlers are trying to rein her in, or Ocasio-Cortez figured out that many people don’t like the idea of a full government takeover and radicalism is something that only flies in her personal circles. It’s certainly not even passing muster with members of her own party.

Especially Nancy Pelosi, who essentially laughed at the “Green Dream,” and made sure she was publicly seen doing it.

It looks like Ocasio-Cortez is watching as the wheels come off her grand plan.
