WATCH: Ocasio-Cortez Now Claiming Famous "Occupied Palestine" Gaffe Video Is Doctored

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s entire career has been marked by one bad gaffe or stupid utterance after another, but none is so famous as one of the first she ever made while on a PBS news program. It was one of the first signals to the world that the young New York Democrat didn’t have a clue about what she was doing.

The moment came in July 2018 during an interview on PBS’s “Firing Line With Margaret Hoover,” when Ocasio-Cortez called Israel “occupied Palestine,” then mumbled out an explanation when asked to explain herself, and finally was forced to admit she doesn’t know anything about the subject.

The video itself was an immediate news sensation, with the embarrassing moment being spread from both right and left news outlets and even spawning a parody from Conservative commentator/comedian Allie Beth Stuckey.

Now, Ocasio-Cortez is claiming that the famous PBS interview clip wasn’t even real, saying it “got doctored and then the doctored video was the one that ended up on Fox News and then like everyone just sees the doctored version instead of the actual exchange.”

As Daily Wire’s Ryan Saavedra noted in his report, Ocasio-Cortez never accuses Firing Line of “doctoring” the original interview, just Republicans. This may be a reference to Stuckey’s parody video which came out nine days after the Firing Line clip had well saturated the media.

Ocasio-Cortez attempted to make it seem like Republicans were attempting to make the obvious parody Stuckey made as a real interview.

It’s likely that Ocasio-Cortez is attempting to pass off the entire event as a Republican-driven media hit job by pointing to Stuckey’s video as the primary reason she looked ridiculous in the first place.

The truth is, the Firing Line video had well circulated from all corners of the media world before Stuckey’s video had even seen the light of day.

No matter how you swing it, Ocasio-Cortez is lying about her Firing Line moment.

We rate this claim by Ocasio Cortez four Pinocchios with their pants on fire.
