WATCH: DNC Chair Tom Perez Is Angry At Those Pesky Christians Who Keep Voting Based On Their Morals

DNC Chair Tom Perez is none too happy with the Christians in America who seem to be avid Republican voters instead of a nice, obedient Democratic voting bloc.

While speaking at “The Court In Crisis: What’s Next For Progressives After Kavanaugh” Summit in Washington, DC, that was put on by Demand Justice, Perez claimed that the only reason Christians are voting like they are is because they’re getting their information from places like Fox News, the NRA, and — most inconvenient of all — the pulpit on Sunday.

According to the Daily Wire, who made the first report, Perez believes that they have to find a better way to communicate going forward so that more Democrats will be elected:

“Because we need to build a bigger orchestra. They’ve had a big orchestra for some time and they’ve got the megaphones to amplify it, whether it’s Sinclair at a local level or Fox at a national level. I’ve learned this from the outreach we’ve done at the DNC, ‘why aren’t we penetrating?’ I ask,” Perez continued. “And I had someone in Northwestern Wisconsin tell me, ‘you know what, for most of the people I know, their principal sources of information are Fox News, their NRA newsletter, and the pulpit on Sunday.'”

“And it should come as a surprise to no one that our message doesn’t penetrate,” Perez stated. “It should come as a surprise to no one that that person has elevated the issue of courts to the top because that person on the pulpit is saying, ‘Ignore everything else that this person has done and is doing, we have to focus one issue of Roe vs. Wade.'”

“And people buy it because that’s their only source, so as we move forward here we have to talk about these substantive ideas but we got to talk about a border communication strategy,” Perez concluded in the video clip. “We’ve got to talk about other reforms that are going to enable us to elect Democrats up and down the ticket so that we can actually have the capacity to implement them.”

The problem that Perez isn’t considering is that the disconnect isn’t boiling down to a communication problem. It’s about a fundamental difference in moral standpoints. He mentions Roe v. Wade talk but seems to misunderstand that there’s a reason why it’s a huge talking point for Christians.

The religious tend not to like abortion. They don’t like distancing the country they live in from Christian principles, the very principles that the country was founded on and found success with.

They also don’t want to be a part of a political party that likes to boo God at their conventions.

Perez should understand that it’s not lack of communication, it’s that the DNC has made it very clear what their positions are, and the Christians aren’t onboard.

Just face it, Perez. Christians just aren’t that into you.
