Whether you love, hate, or just feel ambivalent about Fox News, chances are, you’re watching it at some point.

The Hill reported, Nielsen Media Research found that the cable news network housing names like Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson are posting numbers that put them at the top of the cable news food chain for the 29th month in a row.

This was followed by MSNBC in second, and of course, CNN placing third in multiple categories according to The Hill:

In primetime, Fox News averaged 2.439 million viewers. MSNBC was second among the cable news networks with 1.835 million and CNN third with 1.119 million.

In the 25-to-54 year-old demographic that advertisers covet most, Fox News delivered 478,000 viewers to CNN’s 374,000 and MSNBC’s 332,000.

In the total day category, which encompasses the 24-hour period of 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., Fox News averaged 1.475 million viewers to MSNBC’s 1.024 million and CNN’s 761,000. In the advertiser-friendly demographic, Fox News averaged 293,000 viewers to CNN’s 231,000 and MSNBC’s 181,000.

Hannity topped the charts, followed by MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, with Carlson bringing up third. The last two spots were Fox News shows “The Five” and Laura Ingraham’s show. CNN did not have a show place anywhere in the top 20, with it finally getting on the scoreboard at 23 with “Cuomo Prime Time.”

If you look at the most watched cable news networks as a whole, Fox News and the Hallmark Channel take first and second respectively, followed by ESPN, MSNBC, and Nickelodeon in third, fourth, and fifth. CNN finally places at sixth.

It’s no mystery as to why CNN is placing so low on the totem pole. It has a horrible habit of its network anchors and reporters becoming the story and not reporting the story. On top of that, you have some of its anchors saying flat out racist things, with Marc Lamont Hill essentially calling for a violent takeover of Israel, and Don Lemon calling white men the largest terror threat in the U.S. Meanwhile, it likes to promote itself as a network only concerned with the facts and lacking any bias.

The people don’t buy it, nor should they.
