I’m consistently blown away by the left’s hysterics about how violent the right is while their top publications publish and/or promote things that should be denounced as horrific.
The New York Times recently decided to publish what the Daily Wire’s James Barrett has accurately labeled “Trump assassination porn.”
As Barrett notes, the NYT didn’t just publish a story that was given to them about Trump’s assassination, the publication actively went looking for it:
The worst part: rather than passively receiving the submission, The New York Times Book Review went out looking for it, actively petitioning spy and crime novelists to produce Trump-Russia-themed stories that were almost guaranteed to indulge Russian conspiracy theories and include some sort of scenario that ends up with a dead President of the United States.
The author in question is Zoe Sharp who is the author of the Charlie Fox series of thriller novels. Sharp’s fantasy is likely to get any “Resistance” member lost in pleasurable reverie as they savor the thought of a dead Trump at the hands of, oddly enough, a Russian.
I’ll spare you the whole story, but the ending published in the New York Times looks like this:
When it was time, he went downstairs, took his place in the lobby before the entourage appeared. The hotel staff had been lined up to see their boss, the president, go by. A few of them applauded. Most did not.
The president didn’t seem to notice. He waved, in his desultory fashion. The Secret Service agents clustered around him, ushered him toward the armored limo idling outside at the curb.
The Russian waited until they were a few steps past before he drew the gun. He sighted on the center of the president’s back, and squeezed the trigger.
The Makarov misfired.
The Secret Service agent at the president’s shoulder heard the click, spun into a crouch. He registered the scene instantly, drawing his own weapon with razor-edge reflexes.
The Russian tasted failure. He closed his eyes and waited to pay the cost.
It did not come.
He opened his eyes. The Secret Service agent stood before him, presenting his Glock, butt first.
“Here,” the agent said politely. “Use mine. …”
In summary, Trump dies at the hands of a Russian assassin, helped along by an American Secret Service agent who could no longer stand by and watch as Trump destroys the world.
As the New York Times publishes this, the leftist media is busy pushing the narrative that the bombs sent to various Democrats prove what they’ve been saying all along, and that’s that Trump has fueled the right’s hysterics into engaging in violence.
This is said without evidence as to where the bombs came from. The fact that it was addressed to leftists is enough. Nevermind that more than enough assassins who attacked Democrats were leftists themselves and that a Sanders supporter shouted “this is for healthcare” just before he shot up a baseball field full of Republican officials.
And just in case you forget that the left’s usage of violence and fascinating with Trump’s death goes further than a story published in the New York Times.

The left should probably keep those accusations toward the right to themselves.
