If you’re wondering whether or not South Carolina Republican and sudden conservative favorite Lindsey Graham is going to serve as President Donald Trump’s AG, then wonder no longer.

Graham was asked these very questions outside a Pickens County GOP event and answered very bluntly.

“Well, I’m going to run [for Senate] again — there ya go, you made news — I’m definitely running,” Graham said. “I enjoy my job. I think I’m better at it today than I’ve ever been. I love my job. I love representing the people of our state.”

I have zero interest in serving in President Trump’s cabinet,” he continued. “I like him, I want to help him be successful. I think I can do more good for the country and help President Trump more effectively by being in the Senate and I will help him where I can and say no when I have to, and I’m going to continue to be South Carolina’s voice the best I know how to be.”

“I’m at a time in my life when I feel like all the things I’ve done before have made me the most effective in terms of representing the people in the state,” he added. “If they’ll have me, I’ll keep doing it.”

So there you have it. You can toss any hope that Graham will serve as AG out of the window…at least for now. That said, if his performance during the confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh is any indication of how he’s going to do Senate work going forward, then I doubt we would want him out of the Senate at all.
