Democrat Embarrassment Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Noticeably Absent From Obama's Endorsement List

WE ARE GONNA DIE IN 11 YEARS.

Former President Barack Obama released a list of candidates he’s endorsing in the upcoming primaries, but absent from the list is Democrats’ flavor of the week, New York’s Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

“Today I’m proud to endorse such a wide and impressive array of Democratic candidates – leaders as diverse, patriotic, and big-hearted as the America they’re running to represent,” tweeted Obama, who posted images of lists with candidate’s names on them.

“I’m confident that, together, they’ll strengthen this country we love by restoring opportunity, repairing our alliances and standing in the world, and upholding our fundamental commitment to justice, fairness, responsibility, and the rule of law,” tweeted Obama. “But first, they need our votes.”

This apparently doesn’t include the young “democratic socialist,” who, if you bring up the list containing the state of New York,  is not among the candidates.

According to Obama, another round of endorsements is coming at some point, but for now, Ocasio-Cortez seems to have missed this particular shout-out. Regardless of whether or not she makes the eventual list, the fact that Obama didn’t endorse her right out of the gate is not a good sign. The Democrats held her high on a pedestal for a few weeks, and the fact that Obama seems to have not followed suit is interesting.

This may be because Ocasio-Cortez has embarrassed herself at every turn. Be it not being able to explain her antisemitic description of Israel as “occupied Palestine,” attacking her fellow Democrats out of ignorance, or stumbling awkwardly to even explain her own policy positions, the young Democrat has proven to be more of a liability to her party than a boon.

Perhaps Obama just isn’t willing to put his name on someone obviously toxic enough to hurt her cause, and thus the Democrats’ cause overall. We’ll see if he endorses her in the next round, but regardless of what happens now, it would seem Obama has snubbed the once-promising Democratic candidate.

However, young democratic socialists aside, the DNC doesn’t seem to show much promise overall, and part of that blame belongs to Obama according to RNC Spokesman Michael Ahrens.

“No one’s more to blame for how weak today’s Democratic Party is than President Obama. He cost them over 1,000 legislative seats, decimated their state parties and voters rejected his policies at the ballot box less than two years ago,” said Ahrens.
