Harvey Weinstein, currently the most infamous man in America for his sexual impropriety (to put it lightly) with women almost got socked twice in the face after eating dinner in Arizona Tuesday night.

According to TMZ, Weinstein was leaving Elements restaurant at the Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort in Scottsdale, when a man identifying himself as “Steve” walked up to Weinstein and shouted, “You’re such a piece of s*** for what you did to these women!”

Steve then proceeded to throw punches at Weinstein twice in the head, causing him to nearly topple over. According to the restaurant’s manager, Steve was angry with Weinstein because the disgraced producer had refused to take a photo with him. As Steve tells it, Weinstein became belligerent upon the request, but according to TMZ, the manager tells the story differently.

One of the men — Steve — tells TMZ he walked up to Weinstein and told him he loved his movies and would like to take a photo with him. Steve says Weinstein became belligerent and told him to buzz off. The manager of the restaurant says Weinstein was not belligerent — she says to the contrary he was “very sweet about it” and said, “I’d rather not take a picture right now.” The manager says the two shook hands and Steve went back to his table.

The manager of the establishment said that neither punch connected and that the customer was drunk and belligerent himself.

However, there was likely monetary motivation behind the attack, as Steve was seen asking his friend to take video of the assault on Weinstein before it happened. According to the Daily Mail, the video is currently being shopped around for $100,000.
