Even Newt Gingrich Is Sick of Trump's Crap

Earlier today, one time Trump VP candidate Newt Gingrich, made an interesting remark about the man he’s advising.

According to Gingrich, Trump was heading down a very destructive path that could hand Hillary the election.

“The current race is which of these two is the more unacceptable, because right now neither of them is acceptable,” Gingrich said. “Trump is helping her to win by proving he is more unacceptable than she is.”

“Anybody who is horrified by Hillary should hope that Trump will take a deep breath and learn some new skills,” he added. “He cannot win the presidency operating the way he is now. She can’t be bad enough to elect him if he’s determined to make this many mistakes.”

Pretty harsh words, though fair. Trump’s behavior toward Khizr Kahn, refusing to endorse Ryan, and the very bizarre comments he made about using nukes, Trump is looking more and more like an unhinged, childish man than a leader.

“Anybody who is horrified by Hillary should hope that Trump will take a deep breath and learn some new skills,” Gingrich continued. “He cannot win the presidency operating the way he is now. She can’t be bad enough to elect him if he’s determined to make this many mistakes.”

Still, Gingrich’s brutal honesty needed to be clarified, seeing as how he still is one of the unhinged man-child’s advisors.

From Politico:

“I am 100% for Trump,” Gingrich, who advises Trump and was under consideration to be his running mate, clarified in an email. He blasted Clinton for “the radicalism of her court picks” as well as “the extremism of her embrace” of the “[Bernie] Sanders wing,” and “her devastating record in foreign policy and national security,” which he said “make her unthinkable” to consider.

Notice that he didn’t walk anything back, and his only clarification is that Hillary is worse. This is a man who is in no way okay with what his leader is doing, but is forced to grin and bear it. It’s like watching Futurama’s Zapp Brannigan and Kif.

Still, Trump would do well to take Gingrich’s advice. He won’t, but it would work for him.
