A Barely-There Joe Biden Admits the Inflation Reduction Act Was a Total Scam

Remember Joe Biden? It's hard to believe, but despite his escalating dementia, he's still the President of the United States because nothing matters anymore. He's also still speaking publicly on occasion, and on Thursday, he managed to admit the Inflation Reduction Act was a scam.

Why did he do that? The simple answer is that he's senile and doesn't even realize what he's saying half the time at this point.

BIDEN: My investments, through my investments, the most significant climate change law ever, and by the way, it is a $369 billion bill, it's called the, we should have named it what it was, at any rate.

Reading that, I can't help but chuckle a bit. This dude is still the president despite dropping his re-election bid with no official explanation, and the press just moved on like it was no big deal. The fact that the 25th Amendment hasn't been used against Biden is a major scandal, and one Kamala Harris should be made to answer for. She won't be, but she should be. Read that excerpt again. It'll give you a migraine.

On the merits, though, it seems newsworthy that Biden has now come out and admitted his biggest "achievement" was a massive scam perpetrated on the American people. When that bill was being debated, it was obvious there was nothing in it that would bring inflation down. After all, how could spending more government money do that when it was government spending that caused inflation to skyrocket in the first place? To the extent that inflation eventually did come down, it was due to the bubble finally running its course and leaving a path of destruction in its wake.

With that said, what's infuriating but not at all surprising is that despite Biden's admission, no one is going to care. The nation is so accustomed to Democrats lying to get the things they want that when one of them says the quiet part out loud, everyone is conditioned to shrug and move on. A president point-blank lying to the American people about a nearly half-a-trillion-dollar bill should be big news, but it won't be.

Past that, the president ranted about guns, bringing back a "joke" he's repeated many times about deer wearing Kevlar vests.

Notably (but again, not surprisingly), Biden is lying about not being able to sue gun manufacturers. It is perfectly possible to sue one with proper cause. If a gun malfunctions--due to a design defect--and hurts someone, the person injured likely has a decent shot at a lawsuit. What you can't do is sue a gun manufacturer for someone else deciding to use their product to cause harm because that would be ludicrous.

A person also can't sue a car manufacturer if their ex-wife backs up over them. The maker of the hammer used to attack Paul Pelosi can't be sued over the incident. This is common sense, and the suggestion that an already overly litigious society should be able to sue manufacturers if someone uses their product to commit a crime is insane.

Lastly, as has been explained to Biden many times, almost no one uses an AR-15 to deer hunt, but there are several hunting applications where they are used (and for good reason). Regardless, the Second Amendment does not exist to protect hunting. I do not need to justify my ownership as an AR-15 to the government any more than I need to justify my expression of free speech. The right exists, and throwing words like "assault rifle" around doesn't change anything, never mind that the Second Amendment was written expressly to allow so-called "weapons of war." That was the entire point.

Biden, Harris, and their cohorts can ban whatever they want. They aren't getting people's guns. Period.
