Deep Thoughts With Kamala Harris Commence in Munich

According to the Biden administration, Vladimir Putin has already made a decision to invade Ukraine (again). Of course, we’ve heard that numerous times over the last several weeks, so whether such a prediction will finally prove true remains an open question.

Still, there’s no doubt that tensions are high, and that this would be the perfect time for the President of the United States to at least make a feeble attempt at doing his job. Unfortunately, Joe Biden is nowhere to be found, and Kamala Harris has been assigned the role of de-escalating a possible European land war.

How’s that going? Well, it’s going about as well as her attempts to fix the border crisis.

Do you know what would calm financial markets and give Americans some peace of mind? Actually explaining what “specific and appropriate” steps are being taken to mitigate the cost of a Russian invasion. Is the administration going to authorize a slew of new oil and gas leases to up domestic production? Will Biden resurrect the Keystone XL pipeline, which is currently sitting in limbo, waiting on another Republican president to take office?

Of course, none of that is going to happen. All the administration is going to do is beg OPEC for more production, and we’ve seen how well that’s worked out over the last year. We are being led by amateurs. Worse, we are being led by arrogant amateurs who won’t listen to reason nor take an action that would actually help people. Making the far-left squee is Harris’ priority, and always will be.

Past that, the absolute weakness being shown by continuing to not take economic action against Russia is palpable, and you can bet Putin is sensing it. Harris’ assertion they may use the SWIFT system to isolate Russia if an escalation happens is mind-blowing. What the heck does she call amassing an invasion force and shelling the Donbas to try to provoke an attack?

But hey, who needs an effective strategy when you’ve got deep thoughts like this leading the way.

I’m pretty sure everyone understands the significance of it. What people don’t understand is the fecklessness with which the current administration is carrying itself. No one wants a war, but Biden has done everything wrong if the goal was de-escalation.

Lastly, I can’t end this article without commenting on Biden’s absence. It is unconscionable that the President of the United States decided to take another four-day weekend after announcing an imminent invasion of Europe. Further, to then skip out on the Munich Security Conference, which is being attended by all the major players, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and send Kamala Harris, is a dereliction of duty.

Harris does not have the experience or ability to steward U.S. foreign policy, and though I don’t believe Biden does either, he does at least hold the office that’s supposed to do it. For him to just not have the time to at least attempt to diffuse an international crisis is insane. We don’t have a president.
