Are you ready for some more of that foreign policy “expertise” Joe Biden is supposedly famous for? As RedState has reported, tensions between Ukraine and Russia are nearing a boiling point, with the latter possibly invading at any moment. On Saturday, the State Department moved to evacuate all embassy personnel and their families.
Now, the call to leave the country has extended to all Americans. Unfortunately, because absolutely no lessons were learned from Afghanistan, the Biden administration isn’t planning on offering any help. In fact, they basically told Americans still in Ukraine to go jump in a lake.
From State Dept call: “Given that the President has said military action by Russia could come at any time. The US government will not be in a position to evacuate US citizens. So US citizens, currently present in Ukraine should plan accordingly.” Arrange commercial flights.

Telling Americans to “plan accordingly” by getting on commercial flights in the midst of a mass of people rushing to leave the country is an absolutely unbelievable message from the White House. It’s going to be impossible for many people to do that in the time allotted, especially if commercial service is shut down in the near future because of a Russian incursion. If that happens, then what? Does this absolute clown show of an administration ever plan ahead on anything?
In the grand scheme of defense spending, it would cost almost nothing to fly American planes to Kyiv and to offer flights out for the next several days before hostilities possibly begin. That’s the obvious thing to do here, in order to ensure that no one gets left behind. Instead, Biden is on vacation again at Camp David, signaling a total surrender and hoping that Putin holds off long enough for this to not turn into a total disaster.
It’s embarrassing, and it’s a sad testament to how far the United States has fallen in stature, even among its own citizens.
I remember, in my 20s, arguing with someone that one of the great benefits of being an American was that no matter what, and no matter where, my country was going to come get me. Whoops.

I can concur with that sentiment and remember in my past travels to China and Africa that I felt I could count on my country to come and get me if anything bad happened. Now, under Joe Biden, it has become the norm to not only leave Americans stranded in war zones, but the White House (and the compliant media) will then pretend those people don’t even exist. It’s a scary time to be someone who does any international travel.
This is what having an absolute void of leadership in the White House produces. Just last week, Biden moved to appease Russia by lobbying against a sanctions bill put forth by Ted Cruz. The result of that appeasement has been to bring Europe to the brink of war. There was an opportunity to defuse this situation, avoid any conflict, and project strength and commitment to the world. Biden refused that opportunity, instead choosing to follow the same path of failure he has always followed. Never has one man been so wrong, so consistently about everything.
