While the border crisis worsens and the Biden administration largely surrenders on the issue by releasing most of the current surge of Haitian illegal immigrants into the interior, another move is being planned. And that move has the left raging.

Per multiple reports, including NBC News, the federal government is seeking a contractor to run a migrant facility at Guantanomo Bay. Yes, while Jen Psaki talks about the horrors of horse reins, the administration is preparing to ship Haitians to Gitmo. You can’t make this stuff up.

WASHINGTON — As it scrambles to deal with the surge of Haitian migrants at the southern border, the Biden administration is seeking a private contractor to operate a migrant detention facility at the U.S. naval base at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, with a requirement that some of the guards speak Spanish and Haitian Creole, according to government records.

If you read the responses to the above tweet, the anger is palpable. Liberals feel betrayed by Biden for daring to even make a small attempt to secure the border. Though, perhaps their anger is misplaced? I see no real evidence Biden is preparing to actually enforce our border laws.

Rather, I suspect that this is going to be a processing center for repatriation flights, and we already know those repatriation flights are incredibly limited, with over 90% of the Haitian illegal immigrants in question being released with a notice to appear (and most won’t). There are no mass deportations taking place. Quite the opposite. But it does show the rabid nature of open borders advocates. Even when almost all illegal immigrants are being let go into the interior, they still aren’t happy. They truly want zero deportations ever, which is just an insane policy.

In fact, the NBC News report reveals just how small this facility will be.

A little-known immigrant holding facility on the base has a capacity of 120 people, the records say, and it “will have an estimated daily population of 20 people,” according to a solicitation for bids issued Friday by the Department of Homeland Security.

This is clearly not meant to do anything to help with the current surge of illegal immigration at the border. 120 people is a drop in the bucket and won’t make a dent. That’s why I suspect this is just a stopover for repatriation flights or perhaps very high-risk detainees.

Regardless, I’m laughing as I type thinking about how the media would respond to this if Donald Trump had started to send illegal immigrants to Gitmo. It’s so absurd that you’d think it was parody if there wasn’t sourcing here.

In the end, Biden isn’t going to do anything but keep the border wide open. He’s too much of a political coward to take the necessary actions to get control of the situation. So to all the lefties losing it over this report, rest easy.
