AOC Gets Caught Red-Handed Playing Mask Theater in Absurd Fashion

One of the biggest drives of distrust of government authorities when it comes to COVID has been the sheer amount of hypocrisy displayed. Just last week, Mayor Muriel Bowser seemingly delayed a mask mandate so she could fit her birthday bash in before she then violated her own edict the next day at a wedding. We’ve seen similar examples involving Gavin Newsom, Lori Lightfoot, Nancy Pelosi, and even figures at the White House. You’ve probably noticed Jen Psaki doesn’t wear a mask during her briefings while she makes everyone else do so.

There’s very little common sense included in these mask mandates and those with power seem to understand that. They just want you to obey anyway.

Enter Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who was caught on camera playing mask theater in the most absurd fashion. Watch as she dawns her mask for a photo-op only to remove it in the midst of the crowd to continue chit-chatting moments later.

This appears to have happened during the ridiculous eviction moratorium protest that eventually moved Joe Biden to violate the Constitution while admitting he knew he was doing so. But I digress, that’s a topic for another article.

If you watch the video, what you’ll see is a bunch of people tightly packed together, almost none of them wearing masks. A request is then made to take a picture from some propagandist looking to get more people to show up. After that, we see AOC seated in the middle of everyone maskless. She then grabs her mask and puts it on for the picture. The video then cuts to what is claimed to be a few moments later. AOC has removed her mask and is still sitting in the middle of the crowd and talking to people.

Now, in a vacuum, I could not care less about this. There is essentially no compelling evidence that cloth masks do anything to stop the spread of COVID. On that front, I’m fine with people breaking mask mandates and recommendations. But if you are a government official that has pushed mandates and acted indignant about people not wearing masks, perhaps you should be wearing one at all times in public. That’s just my humble opinion.

Remember, AOC is the same person who said she was going to keep wearing a mask even after the CDC originally ended the mask recommendations for the vaccinated. Virtue signaling has been her thing. What changed except that she thought no one was looking at her?

And yes, I recognize there is no mask mandate outdoors. That’s completely beside the point given the fact that AOC decided to put one on for the cameras and only the cameras. This is clearly not a person who believes in her own propaganda and hysteria. Rather, she appears to be masking as some kind of performative theater, and in doing so, she has shown her past rhetoric was a bunch of hot air.
