Shocker: The Next Presidential Debate Moderator Has Deep Democrat Ties, Celebrated Christmas With the Obamas

With one more debate on the horizon, scrutiny is now coming down on the moderator. Kristen Welker, an NBC journalist, apparently has deep ties to Democrats and is far from the neutral arbitrator the presidential debate commission would like to paint her as.

I know, I know. You are just shocked.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that the second presidential debate moderator had lied about being hacked after he sent a tweet to anti-Trump figure Anthony Scaramucci. Steve Scully, like almost every journalist in the mainstream media, turned out to be a partisan hack, and that’s saying something, as Scully was routinely touted as “different” and unique compared to others. That second debate was ultimately canceled for no scientific reason whatsoever, in an obvious attempt to shield Joe Biden.

Most conservatives long ago realized that the continued deference being paid to these moderators is completely unearned. That the Republican party continues to play this game is enough to have one beat their head against the wall.

Kristen Welker is no exception.

According to the NY Post:

Welker comes from an established Democratic family — who have poured cash into party coffers, and to Trump opponents, for years.

Her mother, Julie Welker, a prominent real estate broker in Philadelphia, and father, Harvey Welker, a consulting engineer, have donated tens of thousands of dollars to Democratic candidates and close to $20,000 to Barack Obama alone.

There was also $3,300 for Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign and $2,100 for Hillary Clinton’s doomed 2016 presidential effort against Trump. Another $7,300 was contributed to the Democratic National Committee between 2004 and 2020.

In 2012, Welker and her family celebrated Christmas at the White House with the Obamas.

Though Kristen Welker’s party registration is not listed today, she was a registered Democrat in Washington, DC, in 2012 and in Rhode Island in 2004.

Throughout Welker’s tenure as a White House correspondent, she has earned a reputation for a scathing style of questioning.

“Mr. President, yes or no. … have you ever worked for Russia. Yes or no?” she demanded during a confrontation in January 2019.

Whether I’ll be begging for the return of Chris Wallace, as Jon Levine suggests in his piece, is up for debate, but there’s no doubt Welker will be running interference for Biden all evening. Anyone that has witnessed her in the White House briefing room understands that she’s no better than any CNN correspondent.

Welker was caught tipping off Hillary Clinton back in 2016, as well.

The extent of Welker’s bias isn’t that important. Whether she measures up to such levels of hackishness as those espoused by Jim Acosta or not doesn’t change the fact that she’s obviously sympathetic to the Democrat party and Joe Biden.

And look, I get the argument that Republicans know what’s going to happen but have the guts to face it anyway. Yet, a big part of me would love to see the party tell these commissions to go jump in a lake until they start acting in a more fair way. Every single moderator for this cycle was a “journalist” who has been registered as a Democrat at some point or another. That’s the same old story we see every presidential cycle.

Anyway, expect another biased effort from Welker where Biden is continually let off the hook. You can also be assured she won’t broach the topic of the recent bombshell Hunter Biden emails. Instead, we’ll get all the typical, Democrat-leaning questions about climate change, race, and COVID. Even the national security portion will likely be framed as Trump’s treatment of our allies rather than the major wins that he’s racked up over his tenure in the Middle East and elsewhere.

You know I’m right.
