The full-court press is on to redefine Kamala Harris, the newly minted VP candidate on Joe Biden’s ticket, as a “pragmatic” moderate who frolics through fields of daisies and admires rainbows from afar. She’s just so darn great and non-threatening, right? That’s the perception the media wants you to have anyway. As I wrote earlier today, Chris Wallace should probably be given a wellness check after he proclaimed that Harris is “not on the far left” (see Chris Wallace’s Sanity Now In Question After He Makes Pronouncement About Kamala Harris).
George Stephanopolous, among many others, tried this same line today. The memo definitely went out.

Enter Sen. John Kennedy of Louisiana to offer some push back in a way that only he can. If you’ve ever heard the good Senator before, you know he’s a funny guy and a bit eccentric. But he also happens to be dead on here.
“I think of Kamala, I would describe her as Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez but smarter and without the bartending experience,” Sen. Kennedy said. More here: https://t.co/X6qfX7Scvw

In an interview with Fox News, Kennedy compared Harris to Democratic New York Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, saying that Harris was smarter than Ocasio-Cortez but did not have the “bartending experience.” Ocasio-Cortez was a bartender before running for Congress.
“Kamala is my colleague so I want to congratulate her. I think she is very personable. She’s very smart, she’s very aggressive and she’s very liberal. I think of Kamala, I would describe her as Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez but smarter and without the bartending experience,” Kennedy said.
The allusion to AOC is certainly warranted. Harris is not only no moderate, she’s absolutely a radical when it comes to policy. Abortion until birth? She’s all about it. The Green New Deal and a gun buyback program? She loves those proposals. Never mind her views on illegal immigration, Medicare for All, raising taxes, and climate change. In fact, I’m struggling to think of any radical, left-wing policy that she doesn’t support. Defunding the police perhaps? But she’s never been pressed on it, only giving a generic answer about reducing funding and moving it into social programs. It’s probably safe to say that if push came to shove, she’d be in support of anything BLM tells her to be in support of.
Like AOC, Harris is willing to say just about anything to push partisan narratives. She was quick to latch onto the Jussie Smollet race hoax. And who can forget her performance during the Kavanaugh hearings, where she pretended to have proof of some grand conspiracy involving a law firm and the Mueller investigation. We never heard anything else about that, probably because she made it up or had heard it from some deranged loon.
In summary, Harris is much closer to AOC than she is Joe Manchin and everyone knows it. The recent push to paint her as a moderate is foolish nonsense, meant to gaslight the American people about her true record.
Unfortunately, the only anchor out there willing to tell the truth about Harris appears to be Bret Baier. Baier would never admit it, but the following comments feel an awful lot like a brush back of Wallace’s ridiculous comments from the day prior.
Kudos to Bret Baier for not trying to gaslight the country like nearly every other "news" anchor out there, including his colleague Chris Wallace. You like Kamala Harris? Fine, support her. But don't lie to my face about her record. She is very far-left. https://t.co/vPX8q0PrCm

As I said in my tweet, if you like Harris, go ahead and support her. But don’t insult my intelligence and lie to my face by saying she’s anything other than the far-left Democrat that she is.
