The President of the United States routinely manages to be funnier than most late night comics. I’m not sure if that’s an indictment of the current comedic environment or whether Trump should just do a bar tour once he leaves office.
Yesterday, the Trump rally in Tulsa happened, much to the chagrin of the media, who’ve spent weeks losing their minds about it now. Of course, if you have tens of thousands of people in New York protesting, it’s “different” according to people like CNN’s Martha Raddatz. But don’t you dare let those Republicans gather for something they care about.
One of the things addressed at the rally was an idiotic news cycle in which networks and newspapers spent days obsessing over how Trump walked down a ramp and drank water with two hands during a speech.
Here’s CNN’s ridiculous story on it, entitled “Trump Defends Cautious Walk Down Ramp, Which Raised Questions About His Health.”
During the same event, the awkward way Trump sipped water from a glass also raised questions. Trump appeared to have difficulty lifting his right arm to his mouth, so he used his left hand to push the bottom of the glass higher.
Trump did not address the water glass episode on Twitter, defending instead the way he cautiously took to the ramp alongside West Point superintendent Lt. Gen. Darryl Williams. He said that slipping down the ramp would have been disastrous.
These are the same outlets that called questions about Hillary literally passing out and having to be thrown in a van “conspiracy theories.” These are also the same outlets that won’t touch the fact that Joe Biden can’t complete a sentence at this point.
Trump being Trump wasn’t going to let this go, so he orchestrated what was probably the biggest moment of last night’s rally, and it’s absolutely hilarious.
Here’s the longer version so you can hear the lead up.

And here’s a shorter meme version.

The throwing of the cup is a nice touch. The guy’s a showman. You can’t take that from him.
What’s even funnier is that this had the media highly triggered because he made fun of them. They are now pretending they didn’t obsess over him drinking water (CNN literally had a reporter do a news hit about it a week ago) and that it is Trump that can’t just let it go.
He got the best of this interaction though, no matter how they now try to spin things.
