You know, if these journalists actually did their jobs and studied the mistakes and gaffes of Democrats, this kind of thing could be prevented.
President Trump launched a new website making light of Joe Biden’s hilarious “we choose truth over facts” screw up, which he delivered in Iowa before the coronavirus pandemic hit. Often unable to articulate his thoughts, Biden went viral with the comment on the right, birthing many memes along the way.
Here’s the line via the Washington Examiner, which surprisingly dates all the way back to August 2019. Those were certainly simpler times.
“Everybody knows who Donald Trump is. Even his supporters know who he is. We got to let him know who we are. We choose unity over division. We choose science over fiction. We choose truth over facts.”
The Trump campaign is putting out a video series exposing many of Biden’s gaffes under the “truth over facts banner.” Fox News got a first look at the project and reported on it.
Taking aim at Joe Biden, President Trump’s reelection team on Monday launched a faux “investigative” series that mocks the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee by spotlighting his numerous verbal miscues on the campaign trail.
The video series by the Trump campaign is titled “Truth over Facts,” a phrase the former vice president used last August in Des Moines as he flubbed a line during a speech at the Iowa State Fair.
The Trump campaign – which gave Fox News a first look at the video – spotlighted that it’s “aimed at uncovering the truth behind Joe Biden’s never-ending, seemingly incomprehensible statements during his third, plodding campaign for president.”
But it wasn’t the website itself that delivered most of the drama after news of its existence broke. Rather, a bunch of blue-checkmark journalists were apparently so ill-informed that they thought the name wasn’t a joke pointed at Joe Biden.

Joe Biden said "truth over facts" in an Iowa State Fair speech stumble. This became a meme on the right. But when the Trump campaign spun this into an obvious parody "investigative website" that referenced the gaffe, I don't think a lot of people got it… pic.twitter.com/G5nZ1vOeRh

Get it? Trump is so stupid that he named a website “truth over facts.” They’ve really exposed him this time! I especially love the guy who thinks there’s some connection to China, but perhaps he’s on to something given Biden made the comment originally and has shown himself subservient to the communist nation.
These are our supposed intellectual betters, constantly on the prowl for facts and truth, unable to even identify obvious parody. But perhaps they all made fun of Biden when he made the gaffe back in 2019? That’s a negative on that front, as none of the above commented, nor made light of the situation. Only when they thought they could snipe at the orange man did their Twitter fingers start moving.
Trump’s ability to troll the media has reached levels I didn’t think were possible. All it would take to stop falling for it is a little bit of professionalism and fact-checking. But they are completely incapable of such. Thus, we’ll continue to get laughs like this in the future. That’s a good thing I suppose.
