I knew it, I just knew. This had to be the fault of the bad orange man.

Or at least that’s the story being told by some after Minority Leader Chuck Schumer publicly threatened Supreme Court Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh. This happened at a pro-abortion rally where crazy people believe things like killing babies is “safer” than pulling wisdom teeth.

If you didn’t see Schumer’s remarks, here’s a reminder.

But no worries, because this all really Trump’s fault. He supposedly created the environment that makes this all possible, because before Trump, Democrats were timid doves who never used heated language or bullied their opponents.

John Avlon did a "Reality Check" segment where he called out Schumer for his "pay the price"" comments.

It is wrong for elected officials to attack federal judges. It doesn’t matter who you are or who the judges are. If you do it you should apologize. We need leaders who are a contrast to Trump, not a mirror.

If only Trump didn’t exist, Chuck Schumer wouldn’t be a raging lunatic over “abortion rights” or something. Makes sense.

I’ll end with a bit of a different thought. Perhaps the country should get this upset about, you know, babies being killed in the womb? That’s not to say that Schumer’s comments weren’t bad and don’t deserve condemnation. They were and they do. But it does strike me a bit odd that some guy mouthing off gets more coverage than hundreds of thousands of children being exterminated every year.

But that’s the insanity of the abortion debate. It is what it is and we’ll keep doing everything we can to change that.
