If Democrats thought the consequences of their partisan impeachment push were just going to dissipate, that may not be happening.
Sen. Lindsey Graham announced today that the Senate Intel Committee will call the “whistle-blower” (heavily indicated to be Obama administration apparatchik Eric Ciaramella) to answer questions about how this entire ordeal got started.

The Senate Intelligence Committee plans to call the whistleblower whose complaint was the impetus for impeachment proceedings against President Trump, according to a top Republican senator.
With impeachment headed to a likely acquittal next week, Sen. Lindsey Graham described on Sunday how Republicans in the chamber are gearing up for investigations on three fronts.
“The Senate Intel Committee under Richard Burr has told us that they will call the whistleblower,” the South Carolina Republican said on Fox News’s Sunday Morning Futures.
“I want to understand how all this crap started,” he added.
It’s time to get this guy’s name out there. He’s not a real “whistle-blower” in any sense of the word. This was obviously a partisan hit from the beginning and the IG who processed the complaint (Atkinson) stepped outside of his own bounds to run to Adam Schiff. Someone in the intel community does not have the power to “blow the whistle” about White House decisions. That all needs to be exposed and sorted through.
No doubt, Democrats will scream bloody murder, but who cares? The only danger here is to Schiff and his staff, who’ve essentially been confirmed to have colluded with the whistle-blower early on. In the words of a myriad of media members during the Mueller investigation, if they’ve got nothing to hide then they won’t mind be investigated, right?
All roads likely lead back to the Democrats here. It’s not a coincidence that the same people who parroted wild conspiracy theories about Russia for three years immediately pivoted to yet another charge when they came up empty on that front. It’s long past time for Schiff and company to pay a price for that. Get everything out into the daylight.
