Elizabeth Warren and Joe Biden Finally Start to Slap Fight It Out

Let the games begin.

For some reason, Joe Biden has been content to sit back and let Elizabeth Warren gain ground on him, including taking the lead in Iowa and pressing him in Nevada. His strategy of not fighting back and trying to appease the far left hasn’t worked well. It’s left his moderate flank exposed and, let’s be real, Sanders/Warren fans are not going to prefer Biden no matter what he does.

Now, it looks like the slap fight has begun and I’m here for it.

Warren started by accusing Biden of “running in the wrong primary.”

Elizabeth Warren swatted back at Joe Biden’s criticism of her $21 trillion Medicare-for-All plan Friday, accusing him of “running in the wrong presidential primary.”

“Democrats are not going to win by repeating Republican talking points,” the Massachusetts senator said in Des Moines, Iowa. “So, if Biden doesn’t like that, I’m just not sure where he’s going.”

This came in response to Biden meekly pointing out that Warren’s plan was absolutely insane, unrealistic, and unworkable. Never mind the political ramifications of kicking almost 200 million people off their health insurance.

Biden shot back yesterday.

I mean, he’s not wrong.

Of course, it’s a farce to think Biden wouldn’t be embracing M4A as well if he thought it politically expedient. But he sees the writing on the wall. Americans hated Obamacare for the most part and they want no part of a new socialist takeover, especially when they find out it’ll raise their taxes, and it will.

The next few months are going to heat up for the Democrat primary process. Buttigieg and Sanders will also have to bring the knives out if they want in on the action. My personal opinion is that Warren will fade, but we’ll see how it turns out. The first primaries are only a few months away now.
