The Assault Allegation Against CNN's Don Lemon Has Now Been Corroborated By an Eye Witness

The New York Police Department is investigating alleged threats sent to CNN host Lemon. Police on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, said Lemon, who is black, had reported receiving "numerous threatening and anti-black messages sent to his Twitter account from an unknown individual." A few days ago, I shared the news that CNN’s Don Lemon was being sued for assault dealing with him allegedly putting his hands down his pants, making sexual references, and then shoving his fingers in another man’s mustache. Now, another man has now come forward and provided eye witness corroboration of the alleged assault.

The account starts with Dustin Hice and George Gounelas having drinks at a bar in the Hamptons. Apparently, Hice offered to buy Lemon and drink. Later, after Lemon had become visibly drunk, he is said to have approached the two men. Then this happened according to Gounelas per Fox News.

“Don Lemon has now come around the corner and is standing face to face with us. There is a beam, a pole, in the place. Don’s standing up against the pole, face to face with Dustin, I turn around and I’m standing right there between the two of them,” Gounelas said. “He’s saying, ‘So you like me? Is that why you’re bothering me?’”

Hice responded, “Nah, man, I just wanted to say, ‘What’s up?’” according to Gounelas.

Gounelas told Fox News he couldn’t recall what Lemon said verbatim, but it was “along the lines of, ‘Do you like me? Is that why you’re bothering me, because you wanna f— me?’”

Gounelas said Lemon appeared “pretty drunk” when he confronted the duo at the wee-hours watering hole.

“He put his hands down his pants, inside his board shorts, grabbed his [genitals], and then came out with two fingers and, like, clipped Dustin’s nose up and down with two fingers asking ‘do you like p—- or d—?’” Gounelas said.

Congrats to Don Lemon. The assault allegation against him now has more corroboration than any of the accusations made again Brett Kavanaugh, which Don Lemon ran with and pushed relentlessly on CNN for months. By his standards, it’s probably time to step down right? I’ve been assured those are the rules now by the left.

Some may say this isn’t credible because Gounela is biased, being friends with the victim. That’s not the standard anyone on the right has been living under the past few years. Numerous “contemporaneous” witnesses who are friends of supposed victims have been used as corroborative evidence in past cases.

Gounelas continued his account by explaining Hice’s shock at what had just happened.

Gounelas said he laughed during the alleged incident and immediately mocked Hice as “gross” because of Lemon’s alleged actions – but Hice didn’t think it was a laughing matter.

“Dustin was in this shock mode saying, ‘Bro, did that just happen? That was disgusting,’” Gounelas said before explaining that he didn’t think it was too unusual at the time. “The whole thing is like, I go out in the Hamptons, I live out here, I have a restaurant, I get it, people get crazy. To me, it was just another thing. To [Dustin], he was like shocked.”

If this account were untrue, I doubt that Gounelas would admit he laughed at Hice after it happened. The description of events is also oddly specific. As an extortion attempt, it’s pretty weak, which leads me to at least suspect there’s some truth to it.

In the end, I personally don’t think this is that big of a deal. Is it gross? Yeah, but I’m not sure the plaintiff deserves over a million dollars for it. Crazy, out of line stuff happens at bars with drunk people. That’s just a reality. Regardless, that’s not the standard that’s been set by figures like Don Lemon and networks like CNN. If this accusation is proven true, Lemon should be forced to resign. These people have to be made to live by their own rules.
