CNN’s Jim Acosta is in a running gun battle with April Ryan for the worst White House reporter currently on the beat.
Acosta’s self-aggrandizement and constant editorializing in briefings have become the butt of jokes everywhere. His false sense of grandeur has led him to write a book proclaiming how dangerous it is to “tell the truth” in America. Because Acosta’s life is so harrowing. Putting on makeup, saying whatever you want, and taking selfies with hecklers is life-threatening stuff and he wants you to know it.
If you follow sports at all, you probably heard about Tiger Woods winning his first Masters in over a decade last month. It was a great moment in the country, if for no other reason that it brought a lot of different people from different backgrounds together to celebrate the same thing.
As is tradition at the White House, sports figures often receive the Medal of Freedom and Woods was the recipient yesterday. He becomes the fourth golfer to get the honor.
In true Trump fashion, he notes that the Masters this year has “record ratings”

Ok, I have to admit, Trump plugging the ratings is pretty funny.
Anyway, during the ceremony, Jim Acosta decided it was a good time to yell a question at the President about…Michael Cohen.
“Mr. President, any comment on Michael Cohen sir?” -Jim Acosta, the only reporter to yell a question to Trump leaving Rose Garden with Tiger.

Michael Cohen is currently in prison and nothing newsworthy surrounding him has happened in months. What exactly does he think the President would even have to say about that in this setting? Acosta is like your drunk uncle who starts making out with the wall after his fifth beer.
While the rest of the reporters respected that this was a ceremony for Tiger Woods and to celebrate the exceptionalism of Americans, Acosta was the only “reporter” to start yelling out questions like a dog yelping at people on the street.
More hilariously, he then went on CNN and bragged about his tough, hard-hitting question.
And then Acosta bragged during his live hit about asking Trump the question. No more than three people heard his barely audible joke of a question. What a joke of a person. pic.twitter.com/tjREl9aI0U

Acosta is not a journalist. He’s an activist seeking headlines. The entire purpose of all these stunts was to compile material for his new book and to boost his resume for that sweet new CNN show he desperately wants. Unfortunately for him, with CNN’s ratings collapse, I doubt they’ll be looking to put anymore dull, self-loving partisans in prime time. They’ve already got Chris Cuomo in that role.
