Last week, the so called National Action Network, which is really just a scam of a political organization run by Al Sharpton, held their yearly conference.

At it, we got all manner of ridiculousness, including AOC mimicking a southern black accent and Corey Booker pretending he’s an evangelical preacher. While these moments are funny, there’s also something much more insidious about what we saw at this gathering.

One by one, Democratic candidates from the 2020 primary field stepped forward to pay homage to Al Sharpton and beg his forgiveness for their past “sins.” They also nearly universally embraced things like reparations, despite the myriad of issues and clear lack of wisdom in such an idea.

And most of the 2020 contenders, often prompted by Sharpton himself, also affirmed their support for a bill introduced in Congress that would create a commission to study reparations for African-Americans.

“When I am elected president, I will sign that bill,” Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., told Sharpton to raucous applause from the convention hall crowd.

It was a pathetic sight but it was also a disgusting one because of just who they were humbling themselves before with their pandering.

Why? Because Al Sharpton is a terrible human being.

The media won’t tell you this (especially MSNBC because they inexplicably gave him a TV show), but Sharpton has not only used anti-Semitic language, he’s incited murderous mobs against Jews.

After a car in a Hasidic rabbi’s motorcade killed a 7-year-old black boy in Brooklyn in 1991, Sharpton referred to the Hasidic Jews as “diamond merchants” and said “if the Jews want to get it on, tell them to pin their yarmulkes back and come over to my house.” Shortly afterward, an innocent Hasidic Jewish student visiting the area from Australia was set upon by a mob and stabbed to death.

That’s not his only brush with antisemitism. In 1995, he incited the fire bombing of a Jewish owned business simply because they tried to evict a black tenant who was illegally subletting. Ironically, it was the Jewish man’s black landlord who asked him to evict the tenant.

In 1995, an African-American Pentecostal church in Harlem, New York, asked a Jewish tenant of one of its properties, Freddie’s Fashion Mart, to evict a black-run record store that was subletting part of the property. Sharpton showed up outside Freddie’s vowing to a crowd: “We will not stand by and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business.”

Two weeks before Christmas that year, Freddie’s was attacked by a man in the crowd who shot several customers and then set fire to the building with a flammable liquid, killing seven employees. Sharpton subsequently apologized for his “white interloper” remark, but vehemently denied responsibility for the violence.

Then there was the Tawana Brawley incident, perhaps his most famous a hoax.

The reverend accused an upstate New York prosecutor, Steven Pagones, of being part of a group of white men who raped teenager Tawana Brawley in 1987. A grand jury found “overwhelming evidence” that the rape allegation had been fabricated. Pagones sued Sharpton for defamation and won a judgment of $65,000. Sharpton reportedly paid the judgment with money raised by his supporters.

Sharpton is also just a racist in general. He’s routinely called white people derogatory names like “cracker” and has spent his career blaming other races for his own failures, usually to the detriment of those who follow him. We won’t even get into the fact that this guy calls himself a Reverend.

While Sharpton’s gross, racist behavior extends far and wide, he’s also a tax cheat and total crook when it comes to handling money and running his organization.

Sharpton currently has millions in unpaid taxes, both personal and within his scam businesses. His National Action Network has repeatedly stiffed other businesses, from hotels to travel agencies. He failed to file his taxes at all in 1993, pleading guilty to a misdemeanor. Sharpton has been fined for campaign finance violations as well being found to have broken the law by loaning himself money from his organization.

This is not a man any politician should be bowing before and seeking approval from. Yet, every major Democratic candidate in 2020 chose to go to and prostrate themselves before a racist conman who’s legitimately gotten people killed with his antics.

What’s perhaps even more disgusting about all this is the mainstream media’s complete unwillingness to call any of this out. If a Republican uses the same restroom as a white nationalist, it’s a full week’s news cycle. But Al Sharpton and those who fluff him get a free pass. If we had an honest media establishment, they would be pointing out how inappropriate, immoral even, it is for anyone to promote such a person. In fact, the media have had no problem making such arguments against Trump supporters. Where’s the consistency?

Yet, Sharpton isn’t decried or shunned. Instead, he’s given a weekly TV show on MSNBC because nothing makes sense when it comes to the liberal media. It’s all about the narrative, in this case their desire to push racial politics and social justice ideals. If you are the right race, espousing the right ideology, our media doesn’t care what you do. That’s a testament to just how truly useless they are and just how much “privilege” Sharpton has been given.
