Yesterday, Media Matters for America held a “protest” outside Fox News in an attempt to pressure their advertisers. This was part of their coordinated crusade against the network for shock jock comments Tucker Carlson made over a decade ago.

Rolling Stone laughably used this headline for a followup on the results of the protest: Protesters Flock to Fox News Headquarters to Scare Off Advertisers

The reality?

About 50 protestors showed up, in a city of 8.6 million people, and all of them were astroturfed with pre-made signs. It’s likely many were getting paid as well. There were more media members at this “protest” than actual protesters.

Even CNN’s Brian Stelter, who’s spent the past three days shilling for MMFA, deciding to promote the protest like he’s their PR spokesman, couldn’t get the masses out to this joke of an event.

What’s all this tell you? That no one actually cares that Tucker Carlson said some objectionable things on Bubba the Love Sponge 13 years ago. This is all completely manufactured and it’s only being amplified by CNN and others because they see it as a way to take down Fox News.

In the end, they won’t succeed because Carlson did the right thing and chose to stand his ground.
