"Journalist" April D. Ryan Challenges Sarah Huckabee Sanders to a Street Fight

On Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders got into a bit of a confrontation with alleged journalist April D. Ryan during the daily presser.

This would be the same April D. Ryan who asked Sarah if the White House supported slavery and famously, falsely accused Mrs. Sanders of posting fake pie pictures on Twitter during Thanksgiving. As you can see, Ryan is known for hard hitting, fair minded reporting.

She’s also apparently got a thing for media huckster and Stormy Daniels lawyer Michael Avenatti now, so there’s that.

But I digress, let’s get to what’s got her so mad that she’s talking about boxing with the WH Press Secretary now.

The dust up started when Ryan said that Sanders “said herself” that she was “blindsided” by the news of the reimbursement to Trump fixer Michael Cohen for an NDA payoff to Stormy Daniels. Sanders corrected Ryan, given that she didn’t actually say that.

That led to this line…

“With all due respect, you actually don’t know much about me in terms of what I feel and what I don’t”

Now, if you are scratching your head wondering why such a statement is now a news story, you aren’t the only one.

Ryan then went on CNN multiple times to complain about the comment, accused Sanders of sounding “street” with her, and said she was speaking in terms that start physical fights.

For starters, Sanders never said “you don’t know me.” She said “you don’t know much about me in terms of what I feel,” but who needs accuracy when you are on CNN?

All of this is ridiculous. I’ve only lived in a majority black town most of my life, for whatever that’s worth, but I’ve never heard a black person assert that saying “you don’t know me” is “street” for let’s have a fist fight.

Ryan couldn’t stop there though. She’s still tweeting this morning and has apparently flipped the script, challenging Sanders to a street fight.

This is real professional stuff from an supposed journalist and former Mayor of Baltimore. I can’t imagine why Baltimore is in such bad shape after having had such great leadership.

If you don’t know what the vaseline comment means, boxers use it to make their faces more resistant to lacerations.

I’m not sure what “to fornthe” is but I’m guessing it’s a typo of “for the” as she was furiously typing that tweet out on her phone.

Honestly, what’s the point of having someone like this in the press briefing? Had a journalist ever come close to saying something like this about a member of the Obama administration, there’s little doubt they’d no longer be a White House correspondent the next day.
